Just won my first online game in my first try

Other dude was Oklahoma and I was Florida. I won 38-24. He actually quit the game when I picked off my 3rd pass in the 3rd quarter and returned it for a TD. That put me up 31-17. Oh well. It is always fun when you make someone that mad that they quit the game.

Hey, when it's 4th and 1 each time and I am in the red zone....

For everybody else reading this...

One time it was outside the 30 yard line but it was still 4th and 1.

The other two times were inside the red zone and it was 4th and 1. One matter of fact was from the 1 yard line. Like I am going to pass up a touchdown!

The first drive you were at the 3 yard line. You did your typical drop back 20 yards with Tebow and then scrambled to the 3. You then ran that qb blast up the middle.


I hope to god you don't pick USC in the Season Showdown and then do that shit. We can kiss our tounry spot goodbye. And why the hell did you pick Florida? Hell you stopped at Georgia and then just had to go to the cheese team?

Just avoid teams with scramblers and you'll be fine. Last year, every time I saw someone who was playing a team with a scrambler I'd immediately call their bluff by acting like I was going to play with Florida and they'd wimp out.

Well the scrambling QB didn't work for me but on like 2 plays. For the most part, I just picked your defense apart with my passing. Oh and I did run that one Jet option with the WR. That went for an 81 yd TD.

But ok so what if I was on the 3 yard line?

Anyone here feel free to chime in. If you are on your first drive of the game. You get down to the 3 yard line and it's 4th and 3 and you have a chance to get 7 right away. What do you do?

Oh and I won't play with USC online. We suck too bad.

You scored on that jet sweep option because when I was trying to switch from my man defense to the zone I accidentally called a blitzed and even then, you should have been tackled before you pitched it. Picked me apart? You scrambled 20 yards back on just about ever play and then rolled out. That's cheesing. Not to mention going for it on fourth down in the first quarter on the first drive of the game? Hardcore cheesing.

So you'll only play with highly rated teams? Says alot about your skill level.

honestly if i think i can get it on 4th down i go for it.....idc if its 4th and 15, if i think i can get it then i go for it; i also feel comfortable going for it b/c i know i can shut down anyone with my D
and esp if its like 4th and less than 2 or if im in the 5 yard line....im not settling for a FG when i know i have a TD or at the very least im making you go 99 yards on my D

I never dropped back 20 yds. You are just over exaggerating to make excuses for your loss. I usually pick better teams because I usually end up playing someone who picks Florida, Oklahoma or like teams.

Yeah I played a guy before I passed out last night who used them.... I was like there is no way I'm playing them with our failed roster (the original one, not the updated one) and I literally had gone over 24 hours without sleep so I just picked Southern Cal. It was 14-0 nothing me with about 1:30 left in the third and he was driving and got down to about the 20 with typical cheese with the Pryor scrambles and I popped his as good with Taylor Mays and got the fumble and he quit immediately so I continued against the cpu and had to win in the last minute with a field goal 17-14.

Our defensive line is terrible. I can't get any pressure on the QB. The people I play just sit back there and run the same crossing patterns.

I got plenty of pressure on the guys I played who used Michigan and Alabama. Then again the guy who played with Michigan found one of those glitch plays that almost always works so I had to turn the heat up on him.

there should be a way to make the QB's have a limit on their overall speed for online play. High Acceleration is fine but I would not play a cheeser with Pryor. I don't see the point, you could possibly win with hardly any skill or knowledge of your playbook.

4th and 2 or less, I usually go for it if I'm on their side of the field, unless there's barely any time on the clock before halftime or the game is over. I rarely ever go for it inside my 40 unless I'm down by 2 scores with not much time left.

So I just beat Alabama online with South Carolina 52-21. Gilmore had 3 picks, Stewart had one, and I recovered 2 fumbles. If it wasn't for Javier Arenas taking a pick and then a fumble recovery to the house for 6 each time, I would have blown this guy out of the water.

So I was going to play a guy online yesterday who was using Colorado St. We got into the game and it said the connection to the EA Server was lost before we even got to the coin toss. I figured it'd be no big deal, but I checked a little later I was given a loss for a game I didn't even play. Hopefully EA corrects this. I'm in the top 800 on the PS3, but I'll probably dip down as I won't be able to play again until Saturday night. Hold the fort down Gamecock Nation!

I've only not used carolina in three games. I used Oklahoma in my first game against the guy who picked Florida in this thread, I used Southern Cal against a guy who picked Ohio State and the only reason why I did so was because I was dirt tired and didn't feel like concentrating that hard with my skull vibrating, and I did a Florida vs. Florida match-up with someone.

i just won my first game. i was arky the other dude was michigan. got 4 interceptions. one was a pick 6

I quit my first online game because I played against some loser who played out of the quarters defense, and pulled his DT off the LOS as a linebacker. For some reason, Ohio State's DL moves as fast as the guy's in Ole Miss's secondary. It was pathetic to watch. He had 3 on the line, and 3 in the box, and every run was stuffed in the backfield...forced fumbles....bullshit.

Then I started to skip playing games against LSU, Ohio St, Florida...and selected Houston. Once someone saw I was serious about not playing a cheeser team, they mixed it up and picked something different. Houston vs NC St was an OT thriller, one of the best games I've played online...I really enjoyed it, won on a pick six in the first play of OT.

The last game was Cincy vs Oregon St....another thriller that went from being tied with 12 seconds to go....to me winning on a pick six.

I can enjoy playing online when it's played realistically.
