I guess you're saying offer him for track, or as a fall-back if we don't get Leonard for basketball, because I thought we only have 1 scholly left for BB and we were hoping to give that to Leonard????
gotrice?

I don't think the people saying that realized we only have 1 scholarship left for this year's class, if we choose to use it.

Leonard is definitely #1 on our board. This kid won't get a basketball offer unless we miss Leonard.

Three-time state cross country champ leaves Fort Mill High
By Karl Lyles - klyles@heraldonline.com
Fort Mill High School’s Mark Blackmon, a three-time state cross country champion, has withdrawn from the school. The rising junior may be enrolling at a Raleigh, N.C., private school, according to his father, Thomas Blackmon. The decision is not yet final.
Mark Blackmon won his first state cross country title as an eighth-grader. He also played two years of varsity basketball. Thomas Blackmon withdrew his son from Fort Mill High on Tuesday and alerted athletic director Bailey Jackson of his intention to enroll Mark at Word of God in Raleigh.
“We are in the process of doing (enrolling Mark) right now,” Thomas Blackmon said. “(Mark) needs a whole lot more academic support and a better foundation. This is to give Mark support with his academics. It will be a different atmosphere.
Thomas Blackmon said his son will probably run and play basketball at Word of God. He went on to say the school’s location - in the cradle of Atlantic Coast Conference schools North Carolina, North Carolina State and Duke – might give colleges a better look at his son.
Tiayonna Blackmon, one of Mark’s sisters, is a distance runner at North Carolina State. Younger brother Isaiah ran for Fort Mill HIgh last season as a seventh-grader and will become a more prominent member of the Yellow Jackets’ team this year.
Fort Mill cross country coach Marc Pyrc said the decision came as a surprise.
“Bailey sent an e-mail this morning. That was the first I heard anything about it,” Pyrc said. “We have been running throughout the summer. Mark seemed excited. I ran with (Thomas) Blackmon, and he didn’t say anything about this. It is a little surprise I guess.”
Fort Mill High School starts classes on Aug. 18.
