I think we can but we are gunna have our freshman to get used to college ball quickly if we are gunna have a chance. Who knows maybe we can shock the world again and beat #2 Michigan State to start the season :woo:

I hope more than anything we could get a NCAA tourny berth........ but I just don't believe it is a realistic goal....... at least at this point.
The game Friday night against ELON is on TV....... I will give an honest assessment after that...... but as of right now, we had to struggle to beat Ky Wes. in the exhibition.....
I believe we may struggle early, but towards the end of the season if we stay healthy, many teams won't look forward to playing us!!!

It could be a lot worse, Xavier lost to a Division II team, as did Tennessee and Auburn. Also, Kentucky Weslyan finished ranked #5 in the Division II polls, so it's not like coach Horn drug them out of the gutter.
I think this year will be a learning experience, but this team has a chance to lay a good groundwork for the future. I'm extremely upbeat about our basketball team, and the future of Carolina basketball all together.

Making the NCAA should be a goal for the team this year, and every year. I have not yet heard what I think is a good reason for this year's team to think it can't make the Tournament. Be positive. Be tough. Compete. And see what happens. Go into every game thinking you can win. This team has a lot of talent and good coaching; no need to sell itself short.

AGREE!!:clap:The goal should be the NCAA Tourney every year and adjust as the season progresses. This team has experienced leaders and a load of young talent as well as a really goo practice player to push them day in and day out! I wish I could be at the Colonial Life Center to give them some support!

A bunch of teams last season struggled to start the season. I think were likely to struggle all season with that new raw talent. Next season though is when we start making statements!!

Georgia is supposed to be decent with Leslie and Thompkins but they only beat Miss. Valley State 72-70 tonight. Thompkins did not play I believe.
