The rest of our schedule is extremely tough. @ Vanderbilt, @ Kentucky, two games with Georgia, two with Tennessee, etc etc. We are 4-3 right now and 13-7 overall. I know this team was projected to finish last in the East this year but we went 6-10 in the SEC last year and are supposed to be worse this year. We already have 4 wins so it'd be disappointing to only win just 1 more SEC game. The schedule just looks so tough, I hope we can upset some more teams and shake up the SEC.
Still hoping for the NIT.

I think we can split the UGA series, beat UF at home, and depending on Miss State's morale maybe them too .. So 3 .. That would put us at 7-9 in the SEC.

Not so sure about UF at home but I think we can split UGA and beat both of the Mississippi schools. I do think we will win either @ Vandy or against UF at home, but not both.

Depends on what team shows up, I mean we beat UF on the road and Vandy so we have shown we can beat some of the top dogs, but then we also showed our youth and got beat by Auburn, which was extremely deflating. I'm hoping we can split UGA and the 2 Miss schools which would put us at 6 and then we might be able to steal 1 more from either UF or Tenn...I'll say 6 just because of our inconsistency but given our youth and what we were projected to do this year I guess that wouldn't be too disappointing...I hope we can get into the NIT and get some extra time practicing and playing together because the future looks bright for this team and any extra experience would reap dividends IMO.

I think 3 more wins. If we get to 7, I will be thrilled, I expected 4-5 win pre-season. 16-13 going into the SEC tourney would possibly get us an NIT bid, can't ask for more than that with as young as we are.

I think we will get 2 more. I think we'll beat Ole Miss and either UGA @ home or Miss. St.

I thought you had to be .500 in conference to go to the NIT?

I think we need 7 to guarantee an NIT bid. I'm not even going to try and predict which three, because it really depends more on how we're playing than it does our opponent. The only game I really don't think we can win is in Rupp. There are no easy games left, because if you're paying attention, you'll notice that Ole Miss is starting to step it up a notch. I definitely think we're capable of winning three more. We'll just have to see how things play out.

If the team plays anything like they are tonight, they wont win again until November.

Its not looking good, that's for sure. I am really disappointed in the way the team has responded after the loss to Auburn. I hate to say it but we could lose out pretty easily.

5 in a row losses are bad, but 7 out of 8 is even worse...... and we have lost 7 out of 8!
I would not be surprised at this point based upon the coaching, the effort, and results that we don't win another game this year!
Truly hope I am wrong.......

uhhh, you probably want to throw "talent" in there big boy. It's really pretty simple - we don't have that much talent. There isn't a coach in America that could have beaten UK on their floor w/ the team we have.
It's not effort or coaching. It's talent.
Recruiting is the only way to remedy our problems.

to some extent yes. But we have got to get some guys in here that can play better than Richardson and Galloway. Our production from the 2 guard is abysmal. We also need a swing man that can score.
If Leonard's not good enough to start next year, we're in trouble.

Me having played for 8 years and being around my uncle coach his teams for around 5 years from me making observations we need to improve on simple area's that would make us a better team.
Keep the ball away from Ellington. Yes he is our best player but the other teams know that. They know that if Ellington gets going it is hard to stop our offense so they sell out to stop Ellington. We need to go to Muldrow, Cooke, Jackson and Galloway. If we run our offense from through them instead of Ellington that makes other teams realize they need to stop them instead of Ellington so they sell out to stop them 4 and that allows Ellington to go to work as a supporting member and that will take some pressure off him. So with me saying all that above. Do not depend on Ellington depend on the 4 above to carry the team as a unit instead of us depending on Ellington to carry the team. Y'all get what I am saying?
Another point will come tomorrow.
