Catfish Stew?

Where do you go to get it? I've found that there are very few places that sell catfish stew and even fewer places that have GOOD catfish stew. Where do you get yours from? If you make it at home - what's your recipe?


My grandfather used to make catfish stew every summer when he would have a fish fry. Probably the best stew i've ever had but I couldn't begin to tell you how it was made. I'm gonna have to call my dad to get the recipe - I'm craving some stew!

I make my own catfish stew. If you attempt to make your own be sure to make the tomato based kind and not that crap white based stuff from up north.

Yeah, I make the red, not the white.
There is a place in Barnwell. Sc, called "Lakeside grill" that makes it, but I prefer my own.
