I noticed in women's beach volleyball

I was watching women's beach volleyball at the olympics (for obvious reasons) and noticed that, even if a team loses a point or wins a point, most of them high-five and hug each other (not that I'm complaining). The team playing one of the USA teams would even slap each other on the butt.

Again, I ain't complaining at all. But what's up with that?

I've always thought it was a little dumb to celebrate after every single point anyway. I think it's cool that they kind of keep it low key.

I don't think there's a reason to it, but every team at every level does it. I would guess since everyone is so close to each other it's easy to just run over and slap hands or whatever.

Also, it's a time to give a quick comment on what happened. There so many different sets and "plays" you can run in Volleyball like in any other sports. So if they want to do a quick set or anything to change the angle that would be a time to say something. That's also what they're doing when they put a number behind their back/butt.
