Since over half our tailgating crew comes from an hour or so away for the game we pick up a big tailgate pack from somewhere and split the cost.
UGA tailgate we got 100 pc Chicken, Potato Salad, Coleslaw, Veggie tray from Walmart for $40
Wofford tailgate we got 2lbs of chicken fingers, 25 wings, potatos, coleslaw, and veggie tray and gallon of sweet tea from Fatz for $35
Was wondering if anyone knew of any better deals we could try....
Thanks

TPT...please tell me you've had Lizards Thicket?? If not, pm me I will take you their and buy you your first meal for one of the games. I lust that place. It is some of the best country food I have ever tasted in my life. I live in Rock Hill which sucks b/c they're only in Columbia.

Sorry all...but THE place to get the best chicken in Columbia...maybe even in the Southeast is ZESTOS In Triangle City in West Columbia. A bucket with 12 pieces of chicken, a pint of slaw, French Fries and rolls is about $20.00. Gamecock football means Zestos Chicken! The chicken from other locations of Zestos other than the original Triangle City location just doesn't taste the same.

Zesto's does have the best chicken (R.I.P. Mr. A), but Lizard's Thicket has the best chicken fingers ($20).

A better deal would be NOT eating chicken on game days:thumbsup:

I usually don't do much for tailgating other than drink. With that in mind. Bojangles has some hot wings that are cheap and hot and go good with beer. :-)

Behold, ladies and gentlemen, the recipe for the greatest grilled chicken wings you'll ever eat. I use more garlic and mor hot sauce than the recipe calls for. I've been making these for a tailgate for 15 years now:

Like when you go outside to find your car parked under a ladder with all of the mirrors broken and a black cat sitting on top of it?
