Sneak Peak at Perfect Cover Template

Don't laugh at me but I finally picked up my copy of NCAA 07 today (yes, I know I suck, but I've just been too busy). It gave me a chance to start perfecting my cover template.

This will be the best template I have ever done. My work on the Gamecock Classic DVD covers has taught me a lot about creating DVD covers which I have used to recreate even the back of the cover.

Here is a sneak preview of the template so far. Everything is made straight from scratch.

Almost done with the template. Added the Williams Brice background. Also tweaked the back pictures again to add a Clemson sack.

Close to being able to release the finished product.

Those are really nice, CH... but since Clemson is our major rival, shouldnt those back cover pics be Gamecocks catching balls over, or tackling Tigers instead of Gators?

Actually, Clemson4life, they came over here claiming they made a great cover and upon further review, they stole big parts of it from me. I called them on it as a joke and all hell broke loose.

I used UF and Clemson because that was what I had available. I am still working on 360.

Suggestion CH:

Have you considered making a watermark that stretches across the spines of all of the DVDs for each year's (or each decade's depending on how many you have) worth of games so that when you have them all on the shelf next to each other the spines all spell out something like "GAMECOCKS" or the season/decade ("2005" or "The 90's"). To use your artwork above as the example, part of it could go right under "USC Gamecocks vs. Florida State (1984)" in a very light shade of garnet so that when you are just looking at one DVD it doesn't distract you, but when they are all on the shelf it stands out.

I have thought about that. The only problem is that when I add a new game I would have to redo the spine. I am still twerking it though!
