guys remember we will have a practice tomorrow after the game. we will all sit together and then follow to the practice field if you want. Please PM me if you CANNOT make it to practice. we really need everyone there to learn the stuff, work on positions, and get use to being on the field together.

Also if you are up for having a light, really light, practice before the game, RSVP me through contacting me in the means listed below.

We had a practice today with me(WR,LB), sydneyforheisman4(QB,DL), uschockey12(DB, RB, WR, DL), justalilcocky (WR, DB, RB), and cocktailtime (C, DL) and it went very well. We practiced for about 3 hours or so. (Bold= postions will be playing; Italics= positions they can play if needed)

Sneez- we know you are may not be okay to go, so we may play you at the line- not a glory postion, but a position we need bodies at and it has a low chance for injury, or re-injury in your case)

Gyle- we did this practice short notice so we knew you couldnt make it. But we have you at WR and DL/LB.

All others- you will get your postions tomorrow at practice. I will have a roster up here as soon as i get one.

We have 8 guys on the team and we need 3 guys at the line at all times.
Everyone will play (thought it may not be what you really wanted) and everyone will get to be involved in some way.

We have alot to for you guys to learn tomorrow so we REALLY hope you can make. just let me know through a private message, email (willi388@mailbox.sc.edu), or AIM USCgmccks09.

You guys will be please to know that practice went really good today for the student team. We really have found something in Cocktailtime playing center. His skills are really well blocking and he hits every snap to the QB perfectly, wheter it is shotgun or undercenter. Sydneyforheisman will be an all american Flag football QB this year. When they ran some 2 on 2 pass skelton drills he hit his recievers about 75% of the time. He threw 3 picks which isnt that bad when you have to complete a pass around a lockdown corner in Justalilcocky. He was giving Uscgamecocks09 a fit, even though he caught some nice passes. UScgamecocks made a crazy catch as they were practing a little hook route. Sydneyforheisman4 overthrew him but somehow, onehanded he jumped up there and caught it as he was falling back. It was nice. Overall i was quite please in the talent of Justalilcocky and Sydneyforheisman4, they will be keys for our success this Sunday.

After just messing around alittle, they ran some drills that were, well, organized. With the passing attack USCgamecocks will be a threat. he has good hands and him and Sydneyforheisman4 have some type of rythm going on. Throw in Gyle and TE Rice~is~nice4 and this WR core has the means to light up the nonexsitant scoreboard. USChockey12 came in at times and played some pretty decent CB and WR so the team decided they would add him into the mix in those postions. If you dont remember USChockey was a 4 star WR coming out of summer and was in Rivals top 100. he will be used very well to complment 5 star WRs Gyle and USCgamecocks09.

The running game looks to have no problems as long as the line blocks well. Justalilcocky took most of the snaps today. He reminds me of Reggie Bush. he has nice moves and breakaway speed. there was one play were the LBs seemed to cut him off and he changed his direction and broke away for a 55 yard TD. Defesne was tired after chasing him (hopefully that will be better by Sunday). USChockey12 took some snaps at RB and looked pretty good. He could very well be used as a back up back as well. Dont forget Rice~is~nice4 could very well get some playing time this season, i mean Sunday. All these backs make up for a very thunder, lighting, and rain tandom. And they are all happy with the student team and are not looking to transfer!

This team looks completely unstoppable. but we will see, they have a very good run and pass game.

I will update you with a report after tomorrow's practice....

i was thinking the same thing- one or two of these guys seem like they play on other teams and may feel obligated or want to continue to play on those teams. You can fill one of their spots. i would be all for it.

Today was the team's first practice together as a unit. Everyone looked really good. Like I said before we really have something special in Cocktailtime as center. He didnt look on today as he was yesterday, but he did catch a TD pass in the coner of the endzone on a little out pattern. Sidneyforheisman4 had the capabilities of being a good QB tomorrow. He threw a few picks today and not many TDs, but remind you in the scrimmage today they had 4 recievers on 5 Defensive players. Rice~is~nice4 play some crazy Free saftey. He will be good even though he is short. His Middle school coach said he will match up with anyone an play some good D. He did it today as he stopped USCgamecocks09 from getting 2 TDs. One was a for sure TD from Sydneyforheisman4 to USCgamecocks09 but Rice~is~nice4 just manged to get a hand on it and break it up. He will be a Ponatic gamechanger tomorrow. We also found a good CB in a 3 star McNasty. He played like a 8 star at CB. He was really good sticking with our WR. He could be a major player. Coldcocked played some really good LB. He can pass rush, run stop,or stick with recievers. He reminds me of a way toned down Jasper Brinkley, way toned down, but still good.
Offensivly we look pretty strong with our strong line that can catch well, our running game, and Glye and USCgamecocks09 are threats no matter what. Gyle had a good catch ran to the left, cut up field, juked out our lock-down corner in justalilcocky, and then turned on the jets for 50 yard TD. USCgamecocks09 dropped a for sure pass on an in route up the middle. he was mad at himself, but made up for it as he caught almost the same exact pass to the 1 yard line. He also made a nice TD, when Sydneyforheisman fake like he was gonna QB draw. He pulled the D in and they left USCgamecocks09 wide up in the endzone for an easy TD.
Keys for success for this game will be the line. they are alittle undersized seemed to not be to happy playing. but i think they will do okay. and they are threats to catch the ball, so most teams will not be expecting it. The passing game will be good a key as well. If Sydneyforhiesman4 can get his passes on target everything should fall into place. We have a great running game, so we do not need to worry about that. I truely think no one will be able to keep up with the students. they should win easily.

ya'll kept trying to run screens ... and since you can't really block ... it killed you ... then you would only send 1 guy deep at a time ... so it was easy to defend ... plus every QB looked at the receiver he was throwing to the WHOLE time ... that's how we all got picks ... we would get together and say ... he's look straight and throwing it

I got 2 catches and had some pretty good moves i think. got us to teh 1 yard line on one. once me and gyle started to play some crazy DL the score was closer. Not that i was the team in no way. but i think those were some things i noticed

yeah it was hard to really block for anyone ... you had the ball thrown to you a lot ... the balls were just a mile high

to be honest ... i'm glad ya'll didn't get Gyle involved more ... on that kick off we couldn't catch him ... he doesn't look fast at all ... but he was GONE

thats why me and gyle were the WR we had the better stamina and "speed" and Stephen (justalilcocky) was our RB. it was our attempt to get speed in the game. yes there were some passes my way and gyles, but they either miss horriably or were picked off. i was impressed at how yall wouldnt cover the line. thats why i got my passes i believe. My brother played QB in his rec. leaugue (which had no blocking) thats why we decided to put him at QB. we moved the ball the best at that point of the game. but it was a little to late. i think if we play again and tweak the rushing rules alittle and find people that WANT to play line. it may be a closer game

I don't think the rushing rules should be changed at all...if you take a look at intramurals, there are maybe 2 or 3 QB's that actually stay in the pocket. It's too hard for someone without experience to block in flag football, since they just end up holding or grabbing the defender...the only thing you can legally do is get in the way, which is why I said you need linemen with quick feet.

In intramurals, we rushed 2 out of 7 every single play and came out just fine. It's all about quickness, adjustments, and mobility...and a lot of that only comes with experience.

that's why we were wondering why everyone was screaming for bigger guys for the line ... we actually were talking about the rush on the way home ... and if we do this again ... we may do a 2 mississippi then rush ... there's just no way you can block people when someone get's in a dead sprint (or if the line is running out for a pass)

Thanks everyone for coming out and participating. I think the students figured out alot of our secrets and it will be a better game next time. Oh yeah, one they missed is that we practiced with the flags before, thanks to CarolinaFan. I think that made a big difference too.

Yeah, flags are tough to grab...I've been playing intramurals for three years now and I still have trouble with it, and we obviously had a lot of trouble pulling flags on Sunday. Props to you guys for practicing with flags. Definitely much more prepared than we were.

lol, yeah. Sad thing is, guys in intramurals actually do tie the flag belts, so lots of times after touchdowns, the refs run up and pull the flag just to make sure.
