What do y'all prefer as the format for the game uploads? Would you rather I make an ISO of the DVD I create myself like I did with the 1992 CU game or would you rather I just rip out the video into an AVI or something?

I'd prefer an ISO of this year's Clemson game..........without commercials, of course.

Unfortunately that is one I am after myself. My DVR screwed it up on my original recording and the 2AM replay showing on ESPN was not the whole game.

I would prefer a dvd-rip for a more manageable file size. It would be so much better/faster for sharing via Bittorrent.
Two 700 mb files in DivX or Xvid would be perfect.

How much quality do you think we'd lose if I started encoding quarters at 350 ea?
Don't think I've tried to compress it that much yet.

Standard dvd movies on the file sharing networks are ripped to 700mb and the quality is darn near perfect. I have no idea what the best software is to do this though.
350mb per quarter might be worth a try just to see how much quality is lost compared to the 700mb per quarter.
I donno. I really need to get a rig set up for video editing soon and play with it to figure out what works the best.

With an ISO file, you can burn it straight to DVD. ISO is very easy to work with.
You have to have the right software to do this, though. From what I've used, you can use Nero 6 or 7 (not sure which is most current now) or you can try and use Alcohol 120% (www.cnet.com for a trial download)
Alcohol I think is $30 after a 30 day trial.

Nero express does not let you specify a file sizeto rip to- only compression, resolution, and framerate. Do you know what I should set these to in order to get the desired results?

What are you using to rip the DVDs to DIVX?
