Four 700 mb divX video files. One for each quarter.

Torrent Download (http://www.torrentspy.com/torrent/977632/2006_South_Carolina_at_Clemson_Football)

Please leave your Bittorrent client open for a day or two after your download is complete, so everyone can get the file and have good download speeds.

The server I have been seeding on is currently down, so speed will start out slow and hopefully improve later when the server comes back up.

Spread the word! The more people downloading, the faster it will get for everyone! And seed! seed! seed! when you're done downloading!

Enjoy!

Thanks for getting this up bro, any ETA on when your web server will be back up? (Or is it already?)

For a total torrent virgin like myself, is there a site or anything that can help me figure out what all that means and get started? I've been interested in downloading some of the games and stuff, but have never done it and am not the most computer savvy person in the world. Thanks.

Hey there GCDad, click the link in usc_gamecocks' sig that says "NEWBIE GUIDES: TORRENTS."

That should be able to help you out, if not just post here for more info. :D

One server is finally back up... Still working on the other one... Currently seeding @ 3mbps and another 768 kbps from home...

Currently 2 seeds and 10 leechers, so speed should be ok.

Bittorrent simplified:

1) Click this link to download Bit Tornado: CLICK HERE (http://download2.bittornado.com/download/BitTornado-0.3.17-w32install.exe)

2) Install Bit Tornado. Use all the default settings. Just keep clicking OK until it's finished.

3) Download the torrent file: CLICK HERE (http://www.torrentspy.com/download.asp?id=977632)

4) Click (or double click) on torrent file you just downloaded. It will prompt you for where you would like to save your files.

5) A Bit Tornado download window will open. Leave this open (or minimize the window) until it says: "Download succeeded."

6) That's it!

If you use a router on your internet connection, it gets a little more complicated, but it'll still work. These are huge files, so broadband is, of course, a must.

Good luck. Need more help? Ask here. We'll be glad to help!

Thanks a lot. I do have a wireless router, so I may have some questions about that. I'm gonna try it in the morning and if I have any problems, I'll be sure to ask. Appreciate the help!

Just tested my part 3 and it has an error too. It's just a simple indexing error.

Download this freeware program: AviFixed (http://www.free-codecs.com/AVIFixed_download.htm) and run it on the file. Takes about a minute and it fixes your file.

Sorry I didn't catch it in my haste to get the torrent out quickly.

cool, thanks for the quick post :D

I wonder if that error came from transferring the files onto your ftp? I dont think mine has any errors o.O

Ya... It probably missed the last few bits on the ftp upload or something. Avi's are real touchy because the avi index is at the end of the file.

I'll start testing better before creating the next torrent.

do yall edit out commercials when you make avi files of games, or specifically to the threadstarter? if so whats the total running time for one game in particular.
ima record the houston game and im trying to guage if 700mb or at least under 1000mb is plausible while maintaining good quality

any chance this gets put up on rapidshare anytime in the near future? I'm having trouble at home getting the torrent (I use Azureus on a Mac) to download with any sort of consistency or speed...at campus I get about 40 kb/s, but here it's like 8. And it won't always work. And I can't figure out how to forward my parents ports, so I'm kinda stuck...

just asking, but seriously, thanks for doing all that work and getting it up for others to download. My hat's off to you guys.

I'll defer this question to SpuR48 as it was he who did the encodes.

The Florida game on another torrent was good quality with 700mb per half. SpuR48's releases are 700mb per quarter. I don't have a video editing box set up at the moment, so I'm not much help in thid department.

I would think the minimum to offer decent quality would be 700 mb per half.

10 seeders and only 3 leechers right now. If you want it and haven't got it yet... Now is the best time while so many people are still seeding! Should get great download speed...

I edit out all commercials, and halftime. If I had to estimate it , I'd say one game is about 2.5 hours in total. I just record the whole game to my DVR, then pause/rec with my DVD recorder to edit out the commercials, it's kind of crude, but it beats editing them on my PC.

700mb a quarter is pretty good quality on s standard definition TV, but it's definately no HD. If you could do 1000mb a quarter, you'd be sitting pretty I think. Taking it raw off of my DVR and only compressing it slightly, the size of one edited quarter is roughly 2 gigs!

Hmm, I'm not sure, you could try download.com's MAC section and see if there is an equivelant, or perhaps try sourceforge.net (<---- I'm not sure if they're PC/Mac, or just PC/Linux)

Do a google search for Gordian Knot Codec pack, download and install. You likely don't have the divx codec. The gordian knot package installs most commonly used codecs without adware or spyware.

Hey Horseshoe, were you able to get the MAC thingy figured out? I'm on a MAC too and can't find any software to use for the videos.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have all 4 video files from the torrent yet the 3rd quarter simply will not work in media player. The 1st, 2nd, and 4th play fine.

The ringleader of our bittorrent crew (usc_gamecock) seems to be on hiatus right now. His website has had the same "down for maintenance" message for weeks. Most of the like me guys that were seeding the torrents did it for a week or two after the initial seed and then stopped. I deleted the files off my PC after I stopped seeding so I can't seed now if I tried- in retrospect that was not the wisest choice. Unless usc_gamecock comes back, you are probably out of luck because he had the files, the bandwidth, and was actually the torrent tracker for some of the torrents.

well, that sucks... I was asked by someone at my church, if I could get a game together for her. They are wanting to use it for a VBS meeting. The theme this year is sports related and they wanted to setup a "tailgating" scene and have a TV and a game playing. I wanted to get her a USC Game and let it play in the background. Anymore suggestions?

Nevermind. The files are deleted on Rapidshare too.
