Several people have asked for custom Gamecock avatars. Post your requests here. Try to be as specific as possible. Also, if you have custom Gamecock avatars, feel free to post them. I have raised the avatar minimum dimensions to 120 x 120 so that you can have some more detail in the avatars.

Got it to do some farks and backgounds a month or so ago, but I use it now to do some really nice stuff with the family photos, and old pics I have on the computer too. Fun to see what you can created from just an Idea.

10 point bonus question: "What does the sentence in elvish say above the signature" ?

We've implemented a signature size guideline to accomodate those that still run a 600 x 800 monitor (yes they still exist). We need to implement some maximum size guidelines for signatures.

Ideally 200 tall by 500 wide is perfect. My current signature is 200 tall by 533 wide for illustration purposes. However, please don't make a signature taller than 225-250 pixels or wider than 550 pixels. When sigs are too tall, it limits the number of posts you can have on a page. When they are too wide, it makes the lower res screens have to scroll horizontally which is terribly annoying.

Avatars can be 120 x 120, but I am considering going to 120 tall by 170 wide becuase of the new format. My current avatar is 120 x 170 for illustration purposes.

*highlight the URL address for the pic ( http:/ ...ect...)
*right click the highlighted url address, and copy.
*Go to the User CP at the top left of the main board.
*go to Edit Signature

*click the Insert Image box (small yellow box icon in the format menu)
*go up to the insert box, backspace to clear out the htt:/ that is there.

I left the colors As-Is right now. I tried to do a quick one with Carnet and Black colors, but because of the gradient in the blue, it will require a little more time than I have to spend on it here at work. I'll play around with it this evening when I get home.

Cool...........That's funny because I do a lot of images where I use the Hue/Saturation adjustment. Like the spur in my sig etc... but I didn't even think about trying to adjust the color that way. A problem occurs when someone doesn't have an avatar but is added to your friends list. It messes up the dimensions because there is no image to offset. As such, we have implemented a "no avatar" image which will appear for all members without a custom avatar. It looks like this:

To help those of you without avatars currently, Spurticus created 18 default avatars that anyone can use. They are in the User CP>>Edit Avatar option. You can pick any one of them to use.

Check your profiles often as we are changing them daily. That is one big reason khosk and I haven't been on site for the past several days. When it is done though, we will truly have CockySpace! In the About Me and Favorite Sports Moments, you can use BB Code, just like posting a new thread to add URLs, images, etc. Also, you may want to upload a profile picture if you haven't already. I'd like to point out the first one may be complicated and, I know I wouldn't be able to do it. Having said that...

Why don't you make an avatar that starts off like the USC logo and then the letters switch to spell CSU and then fade from garnet and black to the blue and white. The sabres at the bottom could appear with a short sparkle then it switches back to USC and fades to G and B. This would set up a good infinite loop.

Besides the complicated factor it may end up being a big file.

My second idea is just have a USC logo rotate along a horizontal axis. As it starts to rotate past halfway (just after it appears as a vertical line) it could change to the CSU logo and back to USC in the same manner (kinda like the rotating logos on JP sports during the pre-game). That may not be as big of a file but I'm not sure.

you have to have a photo shop program ... kind of like a "paint" shop ... but a lot more detailed

Any picture can be an avatar. It just needs to be 120 x 120 or smaller. Just go to your User CP and upload it from your computer. If you want to make custom ones, then PhotoShop is probably necessary or Gimp which is a free software.

Or you can post a request and let the talented fellas on here make it for you!

ok just thought of the new idea for my cousin's signature ... his last name is HART ... and back in the day in wrestling they had THE HART FOUNDATION ... can somebody get a picture of bret hart when he has his jacket open and his hands out (what he would do once he got in the ring) ... and put a gamecock logo on his shirt and put THE HART FOUNDATION on there somewhere ...
