Held at the Augusta Commons

Rivalry Benefits Childrens Medical Center

The annual Border Bash founded and hosted by Beasley Broadcast Group, Inc. is held each September in Augusta, Georgia. Over 10,000 fans from the University of Georgia and the University of South Carolina come together for some pre-game fun and rivalry. Border Bash is effortlessly located in Augusta, Georgia where USC is one hour drive north and UGA is 90 minutes northwest. UGA Bulldog and
USC Gamecock cheerleaders and their mascots, Hairy Dawg and Cocky, meet with patients in the MCG Children's Medical Center before the big party. The event annually raises more than $40,000 to benefit programs and services at the CMC. Various vendors sell hot dogs, hamburgers, drinks and UGA and USC apparel. This has become a tradition for many fans passing through for the game the next day and local families.

I may have to take it off and crash at my bros house in Aiken. I would hate to wind up in a Richmond county jail for public intoxication. LOL

I'm sorry but it sucks...especially last year. Nothing but UGA fans and they take it over and run it. All you hear is barking and chants for UGA, they talk UGA up on the stage...even the BAND plays in favor of UGA. I've been a few times and was disappointed each time...I just left and went to the bars and started a real party.

I will say it has potential.

SNEEZ
08-24-2007, 12:35 PM
so...anyone.

I'm left to be the sole Gamecock to pit my wits against the wicked westerners from Athens...

so be it

I and I alone will undertake these tasks:
to have as much fun as I can while i'm stuck in that place
to drink as much beer as I can while i'm stuck in that place
to rag as many dawgs as I can while i'm stuck in that place
to not get lost this year while i'm stuck in that place

last year was kinda lame...we had a couple beers...saw some old Lakeside and Evans friends...and then left...really wasnt anything great enough to spend $10 on...I think this year, the wife and I will be in Athens on Friday night with my brother in downtown Athens

SNEEZ

gratned that it IS augusta

i thinks its a great atmosphere, and I have a good time bc I dont let anyone get me down.

granted, I am probably more quick to jump up and fight than anyone o there is a bad element sometimes, but as a whole I enjoy it.

I might show just to taunt the less fortunate GA fans. Me and my bro can't resist a party either but I do not know what my cash situation will be by that point. I am going to the game Sat then to Orlando for a week then be back in Aiken Friday. Are you going to the game also or staying in the area to watch the game??
