OMAHA, Neb. (AP) -- The College World Series will start on a Saturday in 2008, breaking its tradition of opening on a Friday. The CWS finals, which pits the two bracket winners in a best-of-three series, will open on a Monday instead of a Saturday, the NCAA Division I baseball committee announced Tuesday
The CWS will begin June 14, with the championship round starting June 23.
The Saturday start will give participating teams an extra day to prepare and provide flexibility if weather interferes with regionals and super-regionals, said Dennis Poppe, NCAA managing director of baseball. Starting times will be 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. on days when two games are played and 6 p.m. on days when a single game is played

I would like to see them go to a one bracket eight team format......so that it would eliminate a possible rematch until the very end.

The 3 game championship series is good. Now, a round robin for each bracket might be nice if you play off any ties.

These changes sound fine - I wish MLB would move the draft to after the CWS...can't have everything tho'.

Now they just need to add re seeding the teams after the supers so the top 2 teams don't play each other in the first game.

how about no? keep it like it is. gets the best 2 teams and it cant be disputed that the 2 in the finals are the best 2

now if we can just finish things off once post season play arrives, we can have this pertain to us.
sorry, but i still can't get reese's blunders and our pitching woes from the UNC series out of my mind..
