Tanner honored on Disability Awareness Night

South Carolina baseball coach Ray Tanner was honored at Tuesday’s Charleston River Dogs minor league baseball game. Tanner received the EP Maxwell J. Schleifer Distinguished Service Award on Disability Awareness Night, sponsored by Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance.

Tanner is the chairman of the Ray Tanner Foundation; a non-profit organization dedicated to the betterment of economically and medically disadvantaged children and their families.
