View Full Version : Greatest Gamecock Moments Countdown

Your votes have been tallied! The wait is OVER!
I want to say thanks to all of you for your suggestions! This was a labor of love for my appreciation for our Gamecock Football team. We have the GREATEST FANS in college football!
Your favorite moments were widespread. Your Number 1's were even moreso. 9 different moments received at least one #1 vote.
Here's how the votes were tabulated:
Of course, the more votes the higher the ranking. However, #1 moments were counted as 2 votes (the normal vote & #1 selection) and were used in case of ties (and there were quite a few of those). So, if two Moments received 4 votes but one of those Moments also received a #1 vote, it ranked higher: 4 (1) over 4.
Once again, thanks to all the Gamecock Fans at The Spur & CockyTalk.com! Huge props to cockyhoskins for his permission & blessing in letting me use the CockyTalk archives!
Let the Countdown commence! Click on the link to see the moment!

I don't like the order but I didn't vote...yeah I know. But it is a great idea. I really wonder what number one is..based off of the demographics of this board though it would have to be one from the Spurrier or Holtz years.

Early in the third qtr, we had a 17-7 lead. UGA with the passing of Eric Zier took the lead 21-17 in the 4th qtr. I think we got the ball with around three minutes left in the game. I don't remember the whole drive, but I seem to remember a short pass to TE Boomer Foster which turned into a big gain. We got inside the 5 yardline with under a minute left, and lost yards on a bothced play, but UGA was flagged for being offsides. That put us at the 1 or 2 yardline. Then Bennett scored with two seconds to go in the game.
