Lewis Looking At USC For Visit

DB Carlton Lewis (6-3 190) of St. Augustine, FL plans to set one of his official visits with USC. He also plans to set up dates with Georgia Tech and Illinois. Those three have offered along with Wake Forest, Indiana, Marshall, Western Kentucky, South Florida, Buffalo and Presbyterian. Lewis said Clemson and Florida also are showing interest. Right now his top four are USC, South Florida, Wake Forest and Georgia Tech with no leader.

Lewis Hearing From Recruiters

DB Carlton Lewis (6-3 190) of St. Augustine counts USC and Clemson among his offers and both schools are keeping in touch. "I talked to coach Spurrier Jr, (USC) last week and to coach Swinney (Clemson) last Thursday," Lewis said. "South Carolina, Clemson, Wake Forest and South Florida are showing the most interest." Lewis said he doesn't have a favorite. He's made unofficial visits to USC and Clemson and is looking at those two along with Georgia Tech, Illinois, South Florida and Wake Forest for his official visits. Thru seven games Lewis has 30 tackles and one interception.

Lewis Sets Two Official Visits

DB Carlton Lewis (6-3 190) of St. Augustine, FL has set official visits with Clemson for January 11th and USC January 18th. He's made unofficial visits to both. He also will set an official visit with Wake Forest, and South Florida is possible for a visit. He does not have a favorite. Lewis said he would like to come in for the Clemson-USC game but is not sure he will be able to.

USC To Scout Lewis & Hall Friday

USC recruiter Steve Spurrier Jr. plans to scout teammates DB Carlton Lewis (6-3 190) and DB Rashard Hall (6-3 190) of St. Augustine, FL in their playoff game Friday night Lewis said Tuesday. Lewis met with a recruiter from Vanderbilt Monday. He has made unofficial visits to USC and Clemson and has scheduled official visits to Clemson January 11th and USC January 18th.

Coaches Dropping In On Lewis

DB Carlton Lewis (6-3 190) of St. Augustine, FL will play in a state championship game this weekend. Mixed in with his game preparations have been several visits from college recruiters. Clemson's Dabo Swinney was in for a visit Monday and last Thursday. USC's Steve Spurrier Jr. visited him Monday of last week. And coaches from Vanderbilt, Florida International and South Florida also have been by. Lewis will take an official visit to Clemson January 11th and USC January 18th. Those are his two favorites. "They are kind of neck and neck right now," Lewis said. "Clemson is recruiting me as a safety and South Carolina as a receiver. I like playing both." Lewis said he will set an official visit with South Florida. He said Tommy Bowden and Steve Spurrier will make their in home visits in January.

Lewis Commits To Clemson

DB Carlton Lewis (6-3 190) of St. Augustine, FL committed Sunday night to Clemson. He's the 19th commitment for the Tigers and the second on Sunday. His teammate, DB Rashard Lewis, committed earlier in the day. Lewis played free safety and receiver. He had 57 tackles and one interception this season. Lewis will make his official visit to Clemson January 11th. He also had offers from USC, Wake Forest, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana and others.

we were recruiting one as a WR, and didnt offer the other yet. But he will be a good safety.

Amen. Once we grabbed up Darrell Simmons, Jay Spearman, Antonio Allen, and Jarrett Burns... why would we want more safeties?

Exactly, I'm actually kinda glad they didn't commit. We have AA and Darrell Simmons. I would rather have Kenneth Page and Steven Robinson commit.
