I don't know if this is sad or funny or what, but I'm glad CockyTalk.com is able to provide video to the University of South Carolina Athletics Dept. Marketing section...
As I begin my countdown to the best moment from last season, let me start by saying these moments are all subject to debate. Also, I decided to choose the best moments instead of specific plays. Much easier to do. If you have one you think I missed, let me know.
My No. 5 moment is the season-opening win in August versus Mississippi State. The defense handled the Bulldogs all night, allowing just 161 yards of total offense all night. The 15-0 shutout was the first shutout for the Gamecocks since the season opener in the 2000 season.
The South Carolina offense wasn't clicking on all cylinders but managed to get enough for the win with three Ryan Succop field goals and a 54-yard touchdown pass from wide receiver Syvelle Newton to Cory Boyd after a lateral from quarterback Blake Mitchell. Succop's work earned him SEC Special Teams Player of the Week honors.
Jasper Brinkley opens his account for the season with a huge hit:

And here's a clip of the touchdown pass which put the game away for the Gamecocks:
