So what are your thoughts on how it will affect recruiting? Think we might get some Georgia commits to decommit, and possibly side with us? And how will it affect our uncommited targets?

What he said, but it sure won't hurt us. They had several recruits there tonight. We will turn heads all year.

AJ Green will probably call coach on the bus ride home to hop on board.

J/K Recruiting is a marathon not a sprint which is why I keep up with recruits now but don't put nearly as much into what others classes look like this early. I'm sure that some kids who had med or low interest took notice. But typically kids who commit very early are pretty certain of where they want to go. Now some of the kids on the fence like Cordy Glenn may take notice b/c USC and UGA are in his top five. My .02

I def think it will have a negative impact
If we play the way we can and have the type season I think we can, we will probably wind up with one or two more kids than normal out of Georgia. UGA is going to lose at least two more games this year, so that is bad by their standards.
In addition, we ought to be in great shape to make another haul out of North Carolina, as there majors schools there are still in a mess.

You're right....
NC State: 0-2
UNC: 1-1 (beat James Madison)
Wake: 0-2
Duke: 0-2
ECU: 1-1
Appalachian State: 2-0

It has to have a huge postive impact....Winning is what shows kids what Coaches and programs are real as opposed to what Coaches do lip service and sell koolaid on the summer recruiting trail

Don't kid yourself, its is a HUGE plus. A game like this shows Georgia HS Players that Spurrier and USC are for real. Don't think this didn't help us with players like BJ Brand.

This will be a great help in recruiting. There are 3 more teams we need to beat to have a huge impact on recruiting: Clemson, UNC, and Florida. Then again, if we have another game in the state of Georgia this year (say, around Dec. 1st), recruiting will be wonderful lol!

win baby win and they will come ....
It has an impact but it is nowhere near as BIG as some think.
Winning the SEC...winning the East...those are things that are HUGE factors...
Beating UT/UF helped...beating UGA helps...beating CU helps
Championships don't just help....THEY HURT our rivals

It helps a bit in the overall impression of kids. Not so much though. Would you really want a kid who would base such a major decision on a few won/loss records? I think that we need smarter players than that. It also doesn't look the win helped us much with this guy either:
From ajc.com
Williams commits
Saturday's score didn't matter to Nick Williams.
"Somebody has got to lose,'" said the Bainbridge High School quarterback. "Even the best teams lose sometimes."
But what Georgia won was Williams. The 6-foot-2, 195-pound Williams walked out of Sanford Stadium Saturday knowing he wanted to commit to Georgia. Sunday he did just that.
"I wanted to sleep on it and then I woke up and walked in where my dad was watching TV and told him, 'Dad, Georgia is where I want to go,'" Williams said. "He just went crazy."
Williams, who also plays safety, was also being recruited by South Carolina and Alabama. He is the 17th commitment for Georgia. (The Bulldogs also have two soft commitments.) Williams, who could play several positions in college, also already has a qualifying score on his SAT.

Its just one win, but its an SEC win against a team Spurrier hasn't beat yet. After we at least play in, if not win, the SEC Championship game in Atlanta, it should definitely boost recruiting.

I am saying that the kids that have us and UGa in their final two or three, such as BJ Brand, will consider this when it comes decision time. I do not think we were in it with Williams like we are Brand. I have followed recruiting long enough to know that Saturdays win is not the final impression or factor for a kid, never said that. I said that it is HUGE for the reason that we beat Georgia and beat them in front of kids such as Ward and Brand who are heavily considering USC and or UGa. If you think that is not a factor then we will agree to disagree. I worked part time for Recruiting Service - NHSRS - and I can tell you that this game will factor in.
