While that is true, Bowens makes commit number 11. We know that we are only signing 17 or 18 this year so really we are getting down to the last few. Obviously if a Bowers or Green wanted on board then we would be talking grey shirts for some kids, A lot of things could happen with guys backing off or academic casualties but there isn't as much time as we think.

Rankings fluctuate so much during the next few months that we could finish anywhere from #30 to back in the top 10. Personally, I think it's too late for us to get into the top 5 again, but if we clean house like I think we can do after the season is over, we have a good shot of getting back in the top 10. We can still steal a few and bank on some of our guys rising up (Shaq, Bowens) before the recruiting season is over.

Ok boys and girls, men and women of all ages, step right up and hear my recruiting rant. We are 4 games into the season. We aren't even in October. No commitment means anything solid right now (it gets other recruits attention, but that's it). If want good recruits come FEBRUARY, we need to win, pure and simple. When our bowl game is over, and we are drinking champagne after the win, let us then toast to a great upcoming recruiting class because then, and only then, will it be worthy of looking into. Visits are nice now, but let's focus on the current USC football members and our Thursdays/Saturdays. We will get good recruits. Any player with a good heart and solid football mind that comes into Spurrier's system will be a great recruit.
