From what I have heard, we don't have much contact with these two, as the coaches at Hargrave are not to keen on Carolina since we picked up two recruits that were "protected" players that were verbal commits to other schools. Apparently, keeping these players committed to the schools that they are agreed to sign with is a first priority for the prep schools so that the Div. I schools can have a "safe-haven" for their recruits for a year. Hope this makes sense.

I don't understand that. A year is a long time and some players may change their minds. Are we supposed to turn away players who change their mind at prep school and want to come play for us?

Dwight Jones did not have a lot of interest in us out of HS...It came down to UNcarolina and the taters....So hopefully he honors his pledge to the tarholes

I'm fairly sure Dwight Jones is a tarhole, and the only other 2 in the running are Tennessee and Clemson.

As for Benton, he's an LSU Tiger. No question about it.

Don't forget about that Jordan Lyles kid from Hartsville. He didn't even play football his junior year and already this year he has close to 20 TD catches. He is a major sleeper and has good size. Plus i know his older brother Justin, who goes to USC.

I dont know how true this is..so dont shoot the messenger..but apparantly, the coaches there didnt like the fact that we got Ajiboye & Geathers when they were placed by other schools...It makes them look bad when stuff like that happens.

i can see it both ways. the coaches there want the players to honor their committment, but at the same time, if a kid has a change of heart and wants to go elsewhere, i think the staff there should not interfere.. jmo, but i think a coach should advise a player, not steer him ...

and if that is true, thats a shame. i would like us to have good relations with all prep schools
