The best part is that they were cool with us until they noticed we had a C instead of an M. Then it got a little dicey.

And of course, being the idiots that we were, we decided to go ahead and make the drive back from starkville that night. Got pulled for speeding, but we told the officer we were just trying to make it back for class. So he just gave us a warning.

And the C actually made it back just in time for his 9 am class on Friday. Painted up and all.

Ok I will explain this series of pictures for you. The first picture is from the Friday before the UNC game at around 7pm. I am taking the picture and my roommate is the one who got the tattoo. Pretty sweet tattoo and pretty hardcore if you ask me. Notice something about me in the next pics? I have a broken hand! I was so Lucky to get tickets to the UNC game at about 11PM that night and about 30 mins later I broke my hand on the front steps. I ended up going to the ER at about 6 am because I could not sleep and knew I would be in crazy pain all day if I didnt get this hospital trip over. An hour later I have a soft cast on my hand and am on the road headed to UNC. So the third pic is me giving the finger WITH A CAST ON to some TARHOLES who threw pine cones at us. Honestly who throws pine cones??!?! The second one is me and my roommate and I am loving the pain pills at this point haha. Throwing up the spur with a cast.

OK, I only have a non-UF, non-CU partial book and so was planning to go and try and buy outside of stadium. But today's my birthday so I figured give this contest a shot.

First picture is of my wife and I the first year we were married (2002) when we lived in NJ. We were broke, but excited to find out we could go to a Cocks game relatively close by. It was at Virginia and so only a six hour drive versus a 13 hour drive to Columbia.

In order to save money, we decided to camp outside of Charlottesville at a place charging like $15 for a tent site. So we got down early, I proceeded to put up tent and start preparing an "After Game" teepee fire.

Well I got to chopping wood with a hatchet and it started to interfere with my tailgate time as it was taking too long. So I started chopping faster. I was holding wood with my left hand and chopping with right, didn't learn my lesson in Boy Scouts 101. In only a second, I chopped the side of my hand, right below my left index finger. I looked down for a second and the gash was GAPING. I could see bone for one second before a wave of blood gushed over.

I yelled to my wife "Honey I think I made a mistake!" The funny thing is it didn't hurt too bad. One of those things like where you are almost in shock looking at it because it looks REAL bad but like a bee sting hurts much worse.

My wife came over and could see meat hanging out, immediately she wanted to go to the ER. I put my foot down. I told her there was NO WAY I was missing the game after driving six hours. Plus it was my first game that season. We argued for a while and she eventually agreed that if I could get it to stop bleeding she would let me go. So I started the pressure technique...

We stopped at a drug store and I loaded up on all kinds of bandages. I had that thing tied so tight I could not move my fingers. Please see my left hand of the tailgate picture, that's my 1988 Mazda 626 in the background.

Well, we went and got our butts stomped, I sat through the whole game with preppy kids in ties yelling at me. After the game, I was so mad about the result of the game that I again refused to go to the ER. Told her that would wait until back in Jersey.

I still didn't go on Sunday, went to work Monday with the huge bandage. My coworkers asked to see the "damage" and when I pulled the bandage off the old ladies (old mother hen types) in my office started screaming and demanded I go to ER.

At the ER, the doctors told me I was an idiot. They said I was in danger of losing my index finger to infection. At the very least they said I could have avoided a scar, but now I would always have one as I didn't go to ER immediately. They said at that point it was impossible to stitch, so they had to suture it instead which would definitely leave a noticeable scar.

The second photo is of my scar five years later. I think and laugh about it often, lots of times when I see ESPN use "SCAR" to represent our score on TV!!! I look at it as the love I have for the Gamecocks, and would not take it back for anything!!

While yelling and running around w/ hi-fives everyone in the bar AS WELL AS THE CLEMSON FANS were going crazy. They all thought the bar paid me to do this. (Little did they know I was crazy enough on my own) As I ended my lap I ran onto the front stage and began the infamous Game-Cock chant. As all were yelling I turned around in front of a table of "Tater" fans and mooned them w/ my special "message" GO COCKS!!!!!!
That was a huge hit.

As the game wore on and the score became more bleek for Carolina I stayed true to my team yelling and supporting them. Trying my best to keep the Carolina fans stoaked. Even Taters were buying me drinks telling me I had "class".

After the crushing defeat CCC and I left the sports bar and ended up at another local bar (STILL IN MY OUTIFT hanging out of the sunroof while on Rivers Avenue) to "Shake my Tailfeathers". Even Taters wanted to dance w/ the "Chicken girl" and her sidekick CCC!!!!

So after last years Carolina Clemson game me and some of my friends took our shopping cart(we stole it a long time ago not sure why) and set up on Woodruff road and waved our big Carolina flags and car flags as all the Clemson and Usc fans returned home from the game. Well I was completely surprised by mine- but I believe you could call USC information and ask how to obtain more info around having Cocky at an event- they'll direct you where you need to go.

He showed up at the reception after we cut the cake and did the toast...thats when the DJ started playing 2001, at which point Cocky comes running in at the crescendo. Only a few people knew it was going to happen, so everyone was pretty pumped and surprised when it happened.
2001 was immediately followed by Step to the Rear, at which point everyone was cheering along with Cocky goin nuts. He then stayed around for about an hour and a half, dancing and taking pictures.

my roommates dad tried to get cocky at her wedding as their suprise gift. but since we didn't go to the baseball playoffs the weekend of the wedding, the cocky costumes were getting dry cleaned. so no cocky. but they did get a spurrier signed clemson gameball instead.

My fraternity did the same thing back about 7 or 8 years ago. We had bright orange tshirts that said something similar. Most people starting talking crap because the shirts were orange, but realized after reading them that they were actually against Clemson.

But similarly we sold them until asked if we had a permit.
