Also, Sam Muldrow and Mike Holmes are going to be absolute monsters at USC. Muldrow played particularly well tonight and once he can get better body control teams will have a tough time stopping him. Lucky for us we don't need his offense that much just shot blocking and rebounding. Pretty much everybody got in the with the exception of Deloach(at least I didn't notice him). Day and Evka seem to be better at the three's this year. Gray still seems timid on the court. I'm excited about this season!

I was there as well, and kept thinking that if we play with that much excitement all season then the Colonial Center is going to have a more interesting year attendance-wise. It was a lot of fun to watch!

Downey is the best player to suit up for the Gamecocks in quite some time. I said last year he was better than Tre and some people thought I was crazy. Guess what, he is. He cannot be guarded and can get his shot off on anyone at anytime. This Team is fast, athletic, and plays with alot of energy. I think Mitch Carter will help us with his rebounding when he gets back but Muldrow and Holmes are going to be monsters on the boards.

This team is going to be fun to watch..They had some spurts where they were playing some damn good basketball.

Devan Downey is the best point guard I've seen in long time.

I also have to say that I love Zam Fredrick..He has the mentality of a scorer, fearless, and he just makes things happen..I think he needs to shoot the rock more..He is also big for a guard so he can post up and back defenders down..I dont think we've had that since BJ.

When I thinking of running teams I think of Arkansas in the early 90's. How do we compare to those teams? That coach proably played the fastest tempo in history that season.

I dont think there will ever be a team as fast and up tempo as Nolan's 40 Minutes of Hell group that won the National Championship.

The thing about this team is that they keep you on your toes..There isnt anymore of this bogging down/boring basketball that seemed to be a norm last season..Downey pushes the tempo and everybody sprints down court..They also have a NASTY trapping defense off the inbound with Archie and Muldrow.

The only weakness with this group is rebounding..We might get slaughtered on the boards by bigger teams.

We haven't had any size in the last 4 years. We are always running a 4-5 guard set. I mean Kinsey and Naldo played the 5 for most of the time here. Our only real size is Carter and he has had injury problems.
