I know we have only had one true game this season, but d@mn they looked better than we have every looked these past two seasons. We have more of a collective effort (instead of the Tre Kelley show). Can you ever remember if we scored 90 at all last year? I can't wait until we face a quality opponent (Clemson and Southern Cal.) That will be the true test for how well we're gonna perform the rest of the season.

I really really like the tempo this team plays with...Even if we dont have the great record, you can count on this team being fun to watch everytime they step on the court.

it's took too long to let the boys run loose, with no true big man, it looks like we are going to see a more up tempo team for once this year. i'm pretty pumped, this is long over due. if we are going to recruit so many athletes, let's let them play like athletes. also, i work at the colonial center and talked to devan downey before the game and asked him how many he was going to drop, he was very modest, but very confident they were going to win. he was joking around with zam as zam was shooting and making fun of his shot. joking aside, a day before at practice he got on his guys for messing around during practice. he is going to be a combination between tre kelley and michael boyton

I'm excited about this team ... I haven't seen them play yet but what I've heard on the radio and some of the posts here ... I can't wait .. they seem hungry for the basket and fast ... nice combo in basketball ...

its only been one game...but hell- the most pts we scored last year in a single game came in OT to Vandy I believe, and wasnt it like 90 or 92 pts?

I'm awaiting some true test teams before I make an opinion one way or the other. We do have 3 Mr. Basketballs on our team. That's awesome. In the exhibition and the opener, they seemed to be pretty sharp. But again...just waiting for that quality opponent.

same here, but after watching the SC State game, I'm starting to get excited. the thing that impressed me the most was that we pressed for the majority of the game. between that and running the floor a lot, i hope we can make some noise this year.

Devon Downey is an exciting player. The only thing that concerns me this season is the poor rebounding and inability to set up by our big men.

I want to believe but can't yet. I wanna see some improvement against quality teams before I 'believe' in them winning a lot. It's not a good thing that we were outrebounded against the division III team and against SC State. That will kill us against better competition. The uptempo is loooong overdue. Hopefully its a sign of things to come...but until then....

I beleive, but we still need a big man. We will lose at least 5 games this year due to the lack of rebound/inside support. Again we are going to live and die by the jump shot. However, I think this year there is overall better talent hoisting from behind the 3-point line.

i believe we have played well against 2 inferior teams that we should beat every year. SoCal lost a few days ago so i am not sure that will be a game that can be truly measured as to how we are. We wont know until sometime in January.

So Cal is a NCAA Tourney projected Team, they will be a true test. By the way, for all the talk of lack of rebounding, we out rebounded The Citadel by a margin of 51-27. Maybe if we give our younger guys and our Team a chance to jell, our rebounding will likely suprise alot of you.
