To what extent has this method of purchasing items penetrated your spending?

I haven't been to a mall or any physical retail store in 2 years. I feel like I've been removed from society as I don't go shopping physically anymore.

I found a coupon for 20% at K-Mart, but as I was thinking of going through with using it, all the motivation suddenly went away. I found myself being content with spending that 20% online for an item (no taxes though and free shipping) rather than going to my local branch.

I mean that 20% was only $12, and no taxes/gasoline use savings chip away at what I could've saved, but I just find it weird.

I know online spending is increasing at a pseudo-exponential rate annually, so do you find yourself shopping online more and more?

i shop online almost exclusively for christmas......beats the hell outta having to fight holiday traffic and lines in stores.



but the rest of the year i shop at the physical stores. i rarely, if ever, shop online until the end of the year.

I shop online alot. My girlfriend's step mom buys everything online. When I say everything I mean everything. UPS is at their house about 5-6 days out of the week. She buys all their cloths, canned food, drinks, chips, hell she even buys their toilet paper online.

i only shop online if i know i'm gonna get a heck of a discount. like books (and not just textbooks) i bought a book the other day thats normally $18 in the store, and it was $8 online. and $2 for shipping. i saved 8 bucks. not too bad. i'm also looking into getting my roommates christmas gift online.

I used to shop a LOT online to the point of just about everything.

Now, because I live in more of a city place, I do it less because I am not that at my apartment that much AND they dont leave anything at the door
