Anyone want to throw any predictions out there for teams looking like they have a shot at the state title.

Byrnes will beat Sville in the final. Gville will probably last one more week, if that. Although I'd love to see Gville win 3A.

Greenville has union this week (knocked them out last year) and the starting quarterback is possibly going to be out (same as last year) however this time around the strength of their team is the defense. I think byrnes is always going to have to be the favorite for AAAA but summerville is a very good team.

I've pulled for Gville for some time, it killed me watching them all those years when Gville had Jamison*, Boswell, Sorrells, etc. and got knocked out early because of shooting themselves in the foot. I hope they can beat Union County, but Daniel will be waiting on them shortly. I've only seen Sville play once and that was when they got crushed by BTW. I'm sure that's not indicative of how they play. It would be nice to see a Byrnes vs. Sville matchup.

Union will beat Gville this Friday. Union's defence and running game are too good. Marcus Whitener is a beast and the QB Dwight Brannon is showing out. There passing game is not the best but there running game opens up there passing. Union is playing too good right now.

Don't sleep on Northwestern.....and my Bearcats had NO business in the playoffs.:spurrier:Northwestern had to comeback in the 4th quarter to beat a horrible 5-7 Stratford team, I am definatley sleeping on them. They will be extremely lucky if they get out of Irmo, no way they beat Byrnes.

Teams have bad halves...but they DID come back. I'm not saying they'll win state, but they are well coached.
