Someone fill me in on our new guys

I admit I have not been following baskeball recruiting lately. Someone help me out.

I know we have had a lot of transfers into our program, most notably Downey. Where did he transfere from? How did he end up at Carolina.

What about all the other new guys - how did they get to SC. It seems like we have a whole new team this year.

Downey & Frederick were both Mr. Basketball for South Carolina but decided to go to other schools for different reasons. Zam didn't want to try and live up to the unbelievably high standards his dad accomplished while here at USC. Zam went to Georgia Tech and Downey went to Cincinnatti. Zam is a junior and Downey is a sophomore.

Muldrow and Steed are 2 other freshman that are a slightly bigger version of Brandon Wallace but with the athletic ability of Kinsey. Trevor Deloach won Mr. Basketball this past year coming out of high school as a guard, but he is redshirting this year.

I read an article a while back about Devan where he talked about why he left SC. Apparently being short he felt the need to try and be a big shot and had a fair amount of trouble growing up by getting in a lot of fights. His father made him get away from SC to grow up and prove himself with a basketball and not with his fists. I guess he's grown up and now has decided to lead the right way. I guess getting away may have also detatched him from any negative influences that may have been lurking in his hometown of Chester.

He's a good one and I hope he and the rest of the team stay healthy because they're all key to a successful season.

I like what Coach Odom said about Zam last night that he has a great basketball IQ.
