Losing to Southern Cal was not helpful.

I'm Curious as to how Auburn received two votes

Here are the results of their Four games:

Beat Bluefield College 89-75
Lost to Tulane 62-77
Beat Kennesaw State 74-62
Beat Alabama State 63-60

My Guess is that the two votes came from Eddie Fogler and Jeff Lebo

Coach's polls are the biggest joke in the entire world. I am not saying media poll are much better, but coach's polls hold no weight to me.

Think about it, how much time do you think Dave Odom spends watching Washington, Kansas, Gonzaga, Arizona, Marquette etc during the year. Probably a total of 5 minutes.

And that is even stupid to bring up because most coach's don't actually do the voting themselves anyway. Most coach's give it to one of their assitants to take care of. Spurrier admits all the time that he has to ask Jamie Speronis who he voted for this week. Wha a joke coach's polls are, I wish they would get rid of them.

preseason hype has a lot to do with it.
We have 3/4 new starters. We were not good last year and out 2 best players graduated. As we know, polls mean 0 (i.e. #6 in Football).

I don't know if we'll be ranked, but I will say that we look much better than last year. It's going to be tough in the SEC again this year. I don't see any really great teams, but I do see a lot of good teams. I would not be surprised to see the SEC land up to 8 teams in the NCAA tourney this year.

Question: I just noticed that Florida is 4-0 and only ranked 24th and then beside that it says 65NR. That would mean that last week they were not ranked an only received 65 votes. I know they lost a lot to the NBA from last year's team, but damn!

I don't think we'll make the rankings this year unless we rebound and shoot ALOT better.:bballcoc:

CU will start off hot again against nobody's and fall on their face when conference play starts.:clemcock:

We don't get any votes because others do not wear garnet-colored glasses and are a lot more objective than we are. We'll get votes and be ranked when we deserve it. I just hope its sooner as opposed to later.

They will realize we are out here later in the year as we keep winning games. They may even give us a little credit after this tourney.

It's still early. We've got plenty of time to make a move. Maybe after this tourney like the other guy said.
