Since it's all over now, let talk about some of our favorite moments from this season. Now, I know we let the wheels fall off, but the boys did some great things also. So no negative stuff in this.
3. The Blake Mitchell comeback against Tennesse.
2. Pounding the ranked/favored UK Wildcats in OUR house on ESPN.
Drumroll.....
1. The Game is On!
Carolina finally throws down the guantlet. We've excepted our past and now we're givng the finger to those who think we can't win! What a brilliant move!!! It's only gonna get better.

You're kidding right?
Beating UGA is the only good moment I can think of. KY was still KY and we didn't comeback against UT..we lost. Lecorn and our TE play was something that should be noted. It bodes well for our offense next year.

Hey I parted the clouds in the closing....Lecorn is a man.
But even you got to admit....that damn "let's show em" crap has made us look like idiots...how bout we win something first. I don't like egg on my face and I don't see how you think it was positive.

Winning at Georgia and beating Kentucky on national TV were pretty much the only bright spots in a very disappointing season.

Bright Spots,
Beating UGA, and UK.
Lecorn and Jared Cook showing flashes of whats to come. Kenny's awesome play as well.
The Defense (When it was good). To include Eric Norwood, and the 2 TD return(s) for touchdowns against Kentucky.
Cory Boyd, hands down, for whatever reason, as showing that it take ability, desire and HEART to play the game.

Our first touchdown against Clemson. We didn't win the game, but who wasn't going crazy when we scored?
I don't know how it looked on TV, but from the East student section, it looked like the dumbest throw Blake had thrown since...well, the first drive of the game.
But it was a perfect throw, a great catch, and it put us back in the game (I believe it came after a blocked kick for a TD too)
Remember, this isn't great games, this is great moments. I will forever remember the comeback against Tennessee, even though we didn't win. We all (in my section) believed it was going to happen, knew it was going to happen, and it was a grand time while it lasted. Granted, the drive home sucked after we didn't finish the comeback, but during the comeback, it was incredible.
Taking the lead against Clemson at home was a great moment too. Again, it didn't work out for us in the end, but going up 21-20 was a great moment.
To say that only the wins against Kentucky and Georgia (or only Georgia) were the only good moments is wrong. This season was full of ups and downs, but it had its great moments, and we shouldn't pretend they didn't happen because we crapped out the last five games and didn't get a bowl.
In the end, watching football is all about having fun. It's great when they win, and it sucks when they lose, but in the end, it's all about the fun moments.
Don't let the win-loss record take away from this season's fun, unless you are the type of person that doesn't have fun during a game, and only enjoy yourself after a win.

Beating georgia, kentucky, and Norwood's blocked punt against miss. state. Those are the only 3 I can think of cuz we won. I don't look at good plays in losses as good moments.

*Being barked at by UGA fans only to be doing the rooster crow on the way out after beating them
*Taking care of KY at home on a thursday night.
*Norwood taking two to the house!
*Having the players run over to the student section after KY and K-Mac jumping over the hedges and landing on me and my friends!
*Lecorn stepping up as the man from our great receiving class.
*Getting to chant WE ARE! CAROLINA! @ UNC. That was fun!
*Seeing our all black jerseys against florida
*All the "GAME IS ON" Videos - Ray Charles "Georgia" with the highlights almost brought me to tears that week after we beat them. Dale Jr. Ric Flare it was cool and I hope they continue them.
* One more year of getting to hear the old ball coach say "AND NOW IT"S TIME FOR CARLINA FOOTBALL!!!
*Watching Captain progress a little more into a great player.

Beating baby blue in Chapel Hill. Beating the ACC, plus a little bit of payback for baseball. Sweet!

the spring game. haha. no seriously...
hands down the UK game, three turnovers (two for TDs by the same buy) against the QB that doesn't turn it over. woodson was glorified going into that game, no picks and all, and we demolished him and his heisman hopes, on national TV on a thursday night.

The MSU game actually ended up being a victory over a good football team (7-5). The blocked punt was pretty electric.
The Clemson game was the atmosphere I had been missing the entire season. The stadium was rockin'.
KY was definately the best game at home. Great atmosphere with Sidney, Troy, Dunta, JJ, Adrian Peterson, and Ric Flair all in attendence. The Norwood TDs were amazing.
And, the best moment of the year is pretty obvious... UGA. Easily our best victory of the year and one of the best teams we have beaten in a while, and it was at their place. It was hard not to be optimistic about the season after that win.
