that the extra practice for the bowl is good for the team. Everyone gets spring ball and I'm not sure that the extra practice the last two years did us any good.
It would have been a nice send off for the seniors, but we really didn't deserve a bowl game this year.

You're right; you only need to reference that old adage... "practice makes terrible"

Wonder why the coaches like the extra practice? Maybe you should advise them of your theory. .

Too much practice, like 6 hours straight, is bad, but as long as you don't overdo it, there is never enough. That's been the arguement about the whole "when we should do our bye week" conversation.
But, I will say from personal experience, that sometimes too much practice is bad. I remember when I was in soccer, I would practice some sort of move over and over until it was perfect. When the time came to implement it, I 'overthought' it and kicked the ball out of bounds.

Then you were not taught the proper practice technique. The very reason for the practice is toinsure that you DON'T have to think during the game, you just do it on auto pilot. It is the same with playing music or honing a sales presentation. Practice makes it natural.

I don't think practice making you better is a theory at all.. I think it's a proven fact.

I said after the UK game it would be possible for this team to lose it's last four or win as many as 3 of them. Lots of people didn't like me for saying that though.

I honesty thought we'd beat Vandy and then we'd see what we REALLY had. Sadly to say, I was wrong about the Vandy game

The practice was for the young guys to go with the first group. Having next year's team together on the field for the first time. Like Garcia playing with the ones instaed of the scout team. You guys crack me up.:rotfl:

I don't think practice matters at all to this team....they have been practicing under Nix and Hunt for years and still don't get it so what good would a couple of weeks have made? None.
