If anyone gets a chance check out the film on this kid out of Buford GA. He is being recruited by USC at Inside Linebacker. He is about 6.1 230 lbs and runs a 4.58, rated a 3* by rivals. He looks like a hitter.

I think in the end he is a gamecock. He has already visited USC once and loved the trip, and he is coming back for a second visit. I would say that I am 90% positive he will be a gamecock. Plus i got a little inside info on him.

I hope your sources are correct, he looks like a great pick up. He seems to have the size, speed and killer instinct needed to play D1 ball. Loved watching his film.

Well if you look at it now, MLB (which is what he would be playing) isnt as much of a need as OLB...I do agree that there are bigger fish out there..We have a great story to sell to LB recruits..add some wins on the field and we should be SOLID.

Like who? Its not like there is a long line of linebackers waiting to commit. We need to go ahead and offer Shaq's teammate, Gary Tinsley. I would love to know who these "bigger fish" are.

At 6-4 255 and 4.8 40, he is already Brinkley's wt but a little taller and slower. He hasn't even started his senior year so I suspect that there are good odds that he will out grow LB. Are there any 6-4 270 LBs out there?

Kenneth Page isn't a lb, he is an o-line man, so of course he is bigger than Pridemore. Yeah that would be great to get Quinn, but I think he is a gator just like Dunlap.

Beamer Drops In On Pridemore

By Phil Kornblut
Georgia Tech commitment T.J. Pridemore (6-2 230) of Buford, GA was visited Tuesday night by USC recruiter Shane Beamer. Pridemore considered the Gamecocks before committing to Georgia Tech in August. With the coaching change taking place at Tech, schools are getting back in touch with their commitments and Pridemore is one hearing again from recruiters.

Pridemore Back On The Market

By Phil Kornblut
LB T.J. Pridemore (6-2 230) of Buford, GA has decommitted from Georgia Tech and reopened his recruiting. "I met with them Thursday and told them opportunities have opened up," Pridemore said Monday afternoon. "I started looking at some other schools. At this point I want to go somewhere else." Pridemore is scheduled to visit Florida this weekend. He's also looking at USC and West Virginia for possible visits. He said USC recruiter Shane Beamer tried to call him Sunday but he missed the call.

The new school in the picture is Fl. They want Hunter bad and think offering Pridemore will help lure him. I think that's the new development Pridemore mentions. Just my opinion.

How many committs does Fl. have? It looks like every prospect in the world has Fl. on their list. They can't take them all. Fl. has had some transfers but they can still take only 25. Since we are in competition with Fl. for some of our last prospects, maybe Fl.'s numbers will work to our benefit. I do predict they will makle room for Pridemore, if they think it'll bring Hunter. They want Hunter bad and he is a tremendous prospect. They don't really need Pridemore as much as they want hunter.

Tech loses Buford LB recruit
Pridemore now says he's focused on Florida

By MATT WINKELJOHN (mwinkeljohn@ajc.com)
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Published on: 01/07/08 http://www.ajc.com/sports/content/sports/gatech/stories/2008/01/07/techrecruit_0108.html Buford High linebacker T.J. Pridemore won't be playing for Georgia Tech and new head coach Paul Johnson after all, but the Yellow Jackets have a busy recruiting weekend lined up without him.
Eight of the 12 other players who have committed to Tech and three others will make official visits to Tech on Friday and Saturday.

Pridemore, who helped lead the Wolves to the Class AA state title last month, committed to the Jackets on Aug. 13, but decided to consider other schools in the wake of coach Chan Gailey's firing and subsequent departure of defensive coordinator Jon Tenuta.
"I didn't commit to Georgia Tech based strictly on who was there and who wasn't," Pridemore said Monday. "I was really excited about it, and appreciative for the opportunity. I don't have anything bad to say about Georgia Tech, and I don't know a lot about the new staff.
"But things started opening back up. When coach Gailey got fired, some other schools started pursuing me, and I thought it would be in my best interests to look at some other things. At this point I'm really leaning toward Florida."
Pridemore will make an official visit to Florida this weekend, and said he had no other official visits scheduled, and Tech is not likely to re-enter the picture.
Jacksonville wide receiver A.J. Jenkins backed out of his Tech commitment before Gailey was fired. Scottsdale, Ariz., quarterback Sean Renfree and Henry County High wide receiver Chris Jackson opted out of their agreements after Johnson was hired.
But the Jackets picked up a commitment from Flowery Branch High quarterback Jaybo Shaw soon after Johnson's hiring, and he will make an official recruiting visit to campus this weekend.
The other official visitors will be Union Grove linebacker Steven Sylvester, Hawkinsville defensive back Kamaron Riley, Dublin offensive lineman Nick McRae, Marist safety-quarterback Cooper Taylor, Hilliard, Ohio linebacker B.J. Machen, Blountstown, Fla. defensive back Jon Lockhart and Orlando running back Embry Peeples.
Joining them on campus will be Anderson, S.C., defensive back J.T. Floyd, who has committed to Tennessee but is considering Michigan, North Carolina State, Kentucky, Maryland and Tech; Amherst, Va.'s Pete Rose, who has committed to Virginia Tech as a safety but is being recruited by Tech as a quarterback; and Virginia Beach's Joe Jones, a defensive lineman who is considering Tech, Tennessee, Connecticut and Virginia Tech.
The Jackets hope to sign up to 24 players next month.
They have 12 players currently committed.

We can only do so much..A lot of kids today just dont want to stay in the state of SC..playing for the SC schools just isnt a cool thing to do yet..Hopefully it gets to a point one day where South Carolina and Clemson can put a fence around the state.

Interesting. As I've posted earlier reports say UF is using him in hopes of getting their main target, Omar Hunter, Pridemore's hs teammate at Buford HS. UF sees him as a full back in their offense. The rich get richer. At least it took up a schlorship and maybe closed out a prospect we are competing with them for. them

FoghornLeghornCock
01-14-2008, 07:40 AM
I guess I don't understand why Pridemore wants to play FB as few get drafted in the NFL most are FAs as few teams even use them. His Dad played pro ball for the Falcons you would think he would want to be a LB rather than a FB. How many times does a FB even get to play in a spread offense?

athenscock2
01-14-2008, 09:25 AM
I agree. It's hard to understand. A fb in that offense is a glorified guard. Seldom touches the ball but takes inches off his neck with bone jarring blocks. Urban Myth. What does he tell them?

Wouldn't it only properly pay Charlie back if it was South Carolina that got Hunter? I mean, was Gray going to sign with Florida??
