Haven't heard anything lately. Was wondering if any of you guys had heard anything new about either of both of the twins status for '08?:puke:

I'm not sure, I think they are both supposed to be back and playing. they should contribute a lot too, they are both players when healthy.

Let me see if I have all this info correct:

Jordin Lindsey (DE) would have been a senior this year but took his redshirt because he was academically ineligible to play?

Dustin lindsey (LB) would have been a redshirt Junior this year (since he sat out 2006 because he was academically ineligible), but got a Medical Hardship waiver so he will once again be a Redshirt Junior next year?

I think that is right but I was wondering if anyone else could confirm it.

yeah I'm pretty sure you are right, having both lindsay twins back will really help next year not to mention Nathan Pepper and Jasper Brinkley

Yes, they will both be back.

I think the African American Studies department told Jordin to give White American Studies a chance. Sorry just messing with those guys. I still get a kick out of him majoring in that.

btw,
I think both of them will be listed as seniors this season. I don't think they are going to award dustin with another rs when the first one was for academic reasons .

Dustin still has 2 years left. I spoke to his Dad at the UT game and he said he still had two years to play. Maybe he's wrong but I would think he would know.

I was fairly certain that what I had previously posted about their remaining years of eligibility was right, however, you could be correct about the NCAA not giving Dustin and Medical RS because his previous RS was for academics. Still, I hope you're wrong.

I've never been big on the Lindsey twins. I hope we have better players lined up on the squad that we can depend on. I just don't see them comming in and making a big impact next season.

Even though they are both enigmas, they are still talented and can help the team if they are healthy and staying out of trouble..

That's what I was thinking.

yeah and I said that before the latest incident...what a shame.

anyhow, from the presser yesterday with Spurrier...he said there would be no changes that he can think of currently, no transfers or players being dropped. Maybe this included the Lindseys or maybe he wasn't even thinking about them.

a lot of you have personal opinions on the twins ... but we still have a no bashing players rule ... if you can't post something helpful to the thread ... don't post ... it's that easy

as of now the Lindsey's are STILL Gamecocks ... and that's how they will be treated by this site

I am not worried about the Lindsey twins. We are now recruiting a "different" kind of player here at USC. Let the system work it out. Either through exhaustion of their eligibility or other means, players who do not meet the standards of SOS or the Carolina football program will not be allowed to hang around. PERIOD.

The Lindsey Brothers should be given a "fair shake" until all the information comes in for Coach Spurrier to decide what to do. I for one hope that this two football players have learned a lesson and are allowed to play for South Carolina this coming season. That being said, I will stand by whatever decision Coach Spurier makes and I am sure that it will be the "best one" for both South Carolina and the Lindsey Brothers! Nuff said!:-x

I wanted to post this CACK post in response to my "bashing" of the players....

this board runs off of matrue conversations ... thats why we're as big as we are ... it's because people want to come here and not put up with bull shit comments ... the thread was asking what their status was ... not what the peanut gallery thought about their scollorships

Mature conversations on a board where you can post pics of "cocky babes" and post tasteless jokes in the water cooler. Give me a break man. I didnt know you were in control of the first amendmant.

Unless there was a personal comment about what someone "thought" about their schollies, I would have to think that their status might be directly related to their schollies. ...could have missed something though. That make me a peanut? lol

I didnt know you were in control of the first amendmant.the first amendment says that congress shall make no law abridging the freedom of speech. now i may be wrong (i don't know cack personally) but i'm pretty sure cack's not a member of congress. and i'm pretty sure you won't get arrested for saying anything on here.

but i digress. this may be too political.

i am definitely looking forward to having the lindseys back next year. i do think we have others that have the same level of talent, but it's always good to have more depth and experience.

If they keep their noses clean and follow the rules, they will play.

Big if.

I hope they can do it. Those boys are uncouth louts, but they can really play football. "High production kids" as Van Gorder puts it.

As frightening as it is when folks on the internet opine about sports and coaching, it is horrifying when they talk about law or medicine.

You are a pretty easy grader, even if this were civics class. He did come close.

All those big words don't make you any smarter! :) What congress said 200 years ago has a completely different meaning nowadays.

The twins better stay out of trouble, but until I see them against NCState I don't trust them.

Actually, gogamecocks.com is a free site--you just have to register with a user name and password in order to access the site and all that comes with it: articles, photos, videos, forums, etc.

Apparently you have no funny bone....and just for the record...I do have a little knowledge of the law. Guess how? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Give you one guess. Care to discuss some tort law? Sometimes people opine, nice word by the way, about stuff they know a little about. By the way..guess what we have in common...just one guess....

And for the record...the kid got the correct result no matter his reasoning. I wasn't looking for 12 bluebooks of crap.

You just never know who you are talking to on the internet.
