scored a season high 12 points tonight. hopefully he will start getting some more p.t. and become a solid player off the bench

Finally. I just couldn't understand why he wasn't getting playtime after his end of the season last year.

he was getting a good share of playing time the end of last season after mike miller was lost with an injury.
then come this season with the new coaching staff, casey jacobsen is getting more minutes than him which is insane

That's nice. I hope our Bobcats end up with a Gamecock, someone like Devan Downey. He'd be a great complement to Raymond Felton.

He is just in a crowded situation.

Memphis is loaded with talented young guards, and Kinsey is getting lost in the shuffle.

Eh, I'm not too big on Balkman. I liked him while he was here, but I don't think he's NBA starter material. He brought a lot of energy and had some superb games, but he also had the games where he wasn't energetic and didn't do anything the entire game. Plus, where would he play? Emeka Okafor and Gerald Wallace have the Forward positions locked up and Balkman's not big enough to play center and not good enough ball-handler for PG, or even good enough shooter for SG.

If Kinsey keeps scoring more points than playing minutes, expect to see him play more....

it sucks though their teams are a combined 12-27, wish they were on teams that are having more success.

It takes more than five to win. The best teams always have 2-3 guys who come off the bench, and provide a spark. I doubt Balkman will ever be a guy who plays a whole game in the NBA, but he's very valuable to a team.

But the Knicks would be looking for starter material in return (a la Raymond Felton, Jason Richardson, etc).

But Emeka Okafor may be walking after this season. In that case, I'd love to have Renaldo Balkman.

I went up to both the Knicks games last year, scalped some tickets off the streets for no joke 5 dollars. The tickets were from a season ticket holder and bobcats games season ticket holders get to go into the stadium 30 min before the game starts and can go anywhere in the stadium. at the end of last year balkman was technically on the IR and was shooting by himself before all the other players warmed up. I went down there and got my picture with him and talked to him about the gamecocks for about 10 min. It was a good time.
