Bets: Spread or Win?

When you guys make bets you need to be clearer about whether the bet is for the win or the spread. I lost 5000 vcash on a bet that I thought I'd won because the way it was set up I was betting the win, but the money ended up going for the spread.

I'd like to ask that all bets for win or for spread please indicate which the bet is for in the subject line of the post. Either (Win) or (Spread) at the end of your title would work. Some of you already do this, but please everyone who makes bets pay attention and be very specific in your title about what the bet is for.

What bet are you referring to? The dolphins gam? If that is the one, you won and it hasn't been settled yet. Anyways its easy to see if its a spread bet there is always a number like -3.5 beside the team you pick.

No, I'm not talking about the Dolphin's game specifically, but yes it was set up the same way I see many others set up. I've seen bets set up the exact same way pay out for who won, not for the spread too... so it is confusing. the request is to add a simple tag in the title of the thread that specifies if it is a spread or win bet.

But if they did that, they couldn't cheat! I'm sure someone out there is guilty of that.

I haven't seen a case where someone is cheating. It would be easy to make a mistake though. When someone has a bet posted and wants to settle it, that person just has to click a box next to the teams name. Once that happens, you can not go back and fix it. If a mistake like that happens, then whoever posted the bet needs to get the mods to help them out. Likewise, if someone notices that the person selected the wrong team as the winnner, I would think it best to notify the mods.

This type of error can happen with either a straight bet or spread bet.

By the way, anyone see the score keeper give the Bills 2 points when they had a safety put on them. It took the score keeper a minute to realize, the 2 points should have been awarded to the Browns.

There has been 2 instances about 3 to 4 weeks ago that Vbookie screwed up and awarded those who should have lost their Vcash win and those that should have won - lose by placing them under the wrong outcome they originally selected. It's been ok in the last few weeks so hopefully it won't screw up again

The spread should always be next to the team when you place your bet. My only complaint was one bet said this is a spread bet, but had no actual number next to it. When you go to Vegas Insider like always there can be multiple numbers out there for what the spread is which is very confusing in not knowing the actual number whether you win or lose after the game.
