According to the NBA Transaction wire both Brandon Wallace and Tarence Kinsey were waived today. This is not by accident, this is a strategic move. If the players were still on the roster as of Thursday there salary kicked in for the entire year and they were guaranteed the NBA minimum. Up until now they were making a pro rated amount of their salaries.

Hopefully they will each catch on with different teams.

Although, Carlos is tearin' it up in the D-League so he will probably get called up by Golden State before he signs a contract with another team.

We (Bobcats) could use Brandon Wallace if he could add on some weight. Tarence Kinsey could be a very good backup SG for us.

kinsey should get picked up somewhere. wasn't he a co-rookie of the year last season? not surprised to see wallace cut because he was on the celtics, the best team out right now, so it had to been tough to stay on there

He averaged 19 points a game over the last month, he might have been rookie of the month, but I'm not sure what happened to decrease his playing time so much. He was starting a lot last year.

Coach Odom explained at Tip Off Club Saturday that the owners pay taxes on these salaries so they cut the roster before the end of the year for tax purposes then pick up some of these payers after January 1st.
