This is a spread bet.
Patriots (-14.5)
Giants (+14.5)
Game is Sat. 12/29 @ 8:15.
going with the Pats ... don't want them to win ... so i'll gladly lose the money if that means the lose ... but they'll come out looking to run the score up like no other ... i know i would ... screw resting your players ... the'll come out and run the score up as much as they possibly can

NEW YORK (Map (http://www.examiner.com/map.cfm?latlong=40.75 -73.9967&dateline=NEW YORK), News (http://www.examiner.com/Dateline-NEW%20YORK.html)) - After weeks of insisting they wouldn't cave in, NFL (http://www.examiner.com/Subject-National_Football_League.html) officials did just that Wednesday. Now all of America (http://www.examiner.com/Subject-United_States.html) can see the Patriots (http://www.examiner.com/Subject-New_England_Patriots.html)' shot at history.
Saturday night's game between New England and the New York Giants on the NFL Network (http://www.examiner.com/Subject-NFL_Enterprises_LP.html), which is available in fewer than 40 percent of the nation's homes with TVs, will be simulcast on CBS (http://www.examiner.com/Subject-CBS_Corporation.html) and NBC (http://www.examiner.com/Subject-NBC_Universal_Inc!.html).
The Patriots could become the first NFL team to go 16-0 in the regular season.
"We have taken this extraordinary step because it is in the best interest of our fans," commissioner Roger Goodell (http://www.examiner.com/Subject-Roger_Goodell.html) said in a statement after the league announced it was reversing course. "What we have seen for the past year is a very strong consumer demand for NFL Network. We appreciate CBS and NBC delivering the NFL Network telecast on Saturday night to the broad audience that deserves to see this potentially historic game. Our commitment to the NFL Network is stronger than ever."

Should be an interesting game. Not looking past it but here is a big what if. What if the Patriots beat the Giants and go 16-0 in the regular season only to lose before they reach the Super Bowl. What is their place in history then?

My take on the game is this:
-Patriots have more to gain than do the Giants
A. Brady throws for 2 more TD's and he sets the season TD record. (This will happen)
B. Moss catches 1 More TD pass and he sets the receiving record. (No way this doesn't happen)
C. Regardless of the outcome, a win or lost will not effect the Giants position in the playoffs.
D. And the obvious one is of course being 16-0.
I'm just hoping that Brady is on fire and that Moss doesn't make his TD receiption until the 4th quarter... If this happens I think the Patriots will keep it coming until the end.

In a normal week this is a lot of points to give the problem is the Giants may rest players I am glad the playoffs start after this so teams will just play to win.

The giants are a headcase team, but, if there is ever a good week to take a big chance this is it..Coughlin will play his guys until he feels they have no chance at winning the game. Coughlin albeit a little unorthodox for a coach is a mad genius and if there was ever a game he needed to win to ease the pain this is it. Take the giants +13, that defense is nasty, and they are going to make a game out of it. All in all this is a super bowl for them and I expect them to play like it.

What is their place in history then?to me and alot of others their place in history will have a big asterisk for cheating... even now teams are saying it seems the patriots know what they are doing like when they jump on receivers routes and intercept... Im sure they still know most of the signals of other teams even though they did get busted and discontinued, they may have been videotaping for years beforethey got caught, they may know the other teams signals better than the teams that make them do!

I think Patriots will get those quick TD's for Randy Moss and Tom Brady, then rest them along with others. Giants will be out to prove something. Patriots still win, but the Giants cover the spread!
