Arnold Has Kentucky Visit Set

By Phil Kornblut
DL Arterio Arnold (6-3 270) of Greenville plans to take an official visit to Kentucky January 4th. Kentucky is one of his offers along with Maryland, Marshall and Newberry. He's also drawing interest from NC State and has the Wildcats and Wolfpack at the top of his list right now. Arnold had 120 tackles and 7 sacks this season.

This kid IMO is underrated. He comes off the ball extremely quick ...

if he goes to UK, then UK is establishing a little pipeline thru Greenville High I think that would be 3 in 3 years for UK from Greenville

I realize none of these guys were highly recruited but could have an effect just a random thought though

It doesn't say that USC has offered. Is USC even looking at this kid?

We were looking at him more near the beginning of the year, but I think things cooled down because of academics -- or that may have been Sam Hammond. I don't remember.

We don't seem to be recruiting him at all, there must be something wrong.

Yeah something is wrong.... look who is recruiting him. We don't want to battle for players with Newberry, Wake Forrest, Marshall. We need to get the kind of guys Florida, Tenn, and LSU are recruiting.

we need to be looking at him. After watching him all season he plays hard, he plays sideline to sideline football. He got all of those tackles with double teams all year. No doubt Kentucky hasa pipeline at greenville high, boswell, lentz, now the possiblility of Arnold.

I am glad someone else sees that.

Maybe we should look at some of the ones Wake Forest is recruiting. They have won 20 games in the last two years. Pretty good even if it is the ACC.

He likes NC State. Has family up there. That's what he told me a month ago, but things do change. I don't know him very well, but that was his reply when I asked him.

Wake's 20 wins the past 2 years has more to do with a school being patient and giving a great coach time to build his program. What Grobe has done at Wake is a classic example of what happens when things are done the right way in the right amount of time. He was given time to lay a solid foundation and build a program and now has a house worth protecting!

Sorry, I know this isn't what this thread is about, but couldn't resist the opportunity.
