Would you please hurry up and get here!! I am so ready for this season. After listening to Mike Morgan today talk about this team it just got me fired up more. He said our infield is probably the best in college baseball this season! James Darnell, Andrew Crisp, Justin Smoak, Phil Disher as catcher, Bring it on yardcocks!!!

I agree that we have one of, if not the best, infield in college baseball. I just hope the pitching rotation can put the fear of God in opposing teams early and not look back. This should easily be a world series team.

Hearing Ray Tanner tonight on the news he is totally convinced this team will go far this year. They were showing the guys scrimmaging and they looked great and fired up.

How's our pitching going to shape up? You can have the best defense in the world, but they can't stop walks and homeruns.

Our pitching is very questionable and the only proven pitcher is Mike Cisco. On paper, our pitching will kill us this year because of the inexperience and questionable coaching the past 3 or so years. Hopefully this group will surprise us because it will make or break our year.

Tanner also said on the news that these pitchers are hungry and are ready to prove that by the end of the season their name will be well known throughout the nation. He said we already have well known names on first, second, third base, catcher.

Will you guys quit fretting over our pitching. The first ball hasn't been thrown out yet and already the nay sayers are blaming our lack of pitching. Coach Calvi is a very good coach, and we can look for a very good staff of pitchers, starting with Cisco and Attwood. NUFF SAID.

My understanding is Scott Wingo will be starting at second in the East Carolina series.

It will come down to pitching... And I am not a big fan of Calvi... This team has blown 5+ run leads many times... especially in big situations.. Calvi has to have a decent staff this year, or he may be gone (IMO)

Now I'm hearing that Crisp may be ready after all for the first series...Tanner probably won't push it though.
