Janaury 28th marks the beginning of the High School soccer season. Just wondering how many Cockytalkers support High School soccer and which team. BTW, do you plan on seeing any matches?

I support Wilson High. Played there last year. I will probably hold off until the playoffs class 3a is really week down here.

Both my brothers go to Riverside High School, and im an alum. The younger one is playing and probably starting JV for them this year as a Freshman, but the Varsity team is loaded with talent this year and should have a good chance at the state title.

Sumter Represented...even though my jr and sr years ended half way through the season....
from what ive heard will suck.i think 2 or 3 returning starters.best player is teh goalie.but he aint got no help.
i will attend some home matches.and away matches in florence, because i attend FMU.
now the girls team should be very strong.look for them to compete against WF for the region championship and go to the 2nd or 3rd round of playoffs.

Chapin just tied Lexington in a scrimage the other nite. Whats sad is i heard the Chapin Allumni team beat the current highschool team pretty bad and they were all in there mid 20's to 30...lol score one for the old guys.. i had to laugh when i heard that.

Lexington's alumni usually wins against the current team. That is due to a large number of current and former college players.

Well my raiders finished last season with an unbeaten record, topped off with a state championship and a national championship so i don't think anyone can top that.

The two teams to watch in the midlands are Lexington Boys/Girls and Spring Valley Boys. Airport Girls are pretty strong as is Chapin.
