How can I change the type to "Searching for Brian Vangorder" in a manner that Spurticus did with Back to the Falcons. I was trying to do it, but I couldn't figure it out. Any general help would be appreciated.

When you replace Text, sometimes it's a little touchy. First you erase or paint over the existing Text, and then you may have to copy and replace the background. If the B/G is all one color, that's simple, but in a case like this where you have black around the "Bobby" and part of the "Fisher" then the black fades into the Denim in the jeans. . .. you have to do some touch up first.
I just used black and painted over the Word "Bobby" and left the word "for". I also painted all but the last two letters of "Fisher" with black color.
You can do a few things to replace backgrounds. You can copy and paste part of the existing B/G (which is what I did here) or you can use a clone stamp tool, if there's a lot of pattern in the back (leaves, wallpaper, a fence etc. . . .) After I copied and pasted the B/G on his knee, I just used the Text Tool to re-type "Brian VanGorder" Sometimes you can't replace the type to match the original so you just have to play with different fonts to get close. . . .here I used Times New Roman. I enlarged the V in VanGorder and the B in Brian and resized the rest until I got close to the original look.
