Can i set up groups w/in my gmail account?
Like one group would be good friends i could send jokes to ...
Another might be family ...
a third, coworkers, ... etc.

Never done it before but just figured it out. Go to contacts>groups>new group and then put your people into each group you want.

Pretty cool idea for a thread. I use gmail too and would be interested in some tips/tricks.
Like I would like to know a way to always "show details" when I click on an email. I always like to know who the email went to, not just me.

I use the filters quite a bit to get rid of crap mail. The gmail chat is also fairly handy, like a built in instant messenger.

You can place filters on incoming mail. So I could filter all email coming from abc@abc.com (ex) to go directly to the trash. You can probably filter words from the subject line too

you can... i'm pretty sure you can even filter something if it has a certain phrase in the body of a message.

i just set up a separate email for biz purposes ... how can i group ppl into diff categories?
for example: surgeons versus general practitioners?
if i wanted to send a newsletter to one group (effeciently) how can i set this up?

how do you set up a signature with graphics? like my name (in bold) and a company logo?
i can do this in yahoo but not in gmail
