The desktop I have now is an old Dell Dimension 3000. This thing is at least 4 years old, and only has 512mb RAM and 60 GB HD. Not to mention a Pentium 4. So I decided it was about time to get a new toy. It's not the greatest, but it's a definite improvement. I got a Dell Inspiron 530 with the mini-tower with a 2.2 GHz Intel Core Duo, it has 2 GB RAM, it has a 128mb NVIDIA 8300, 320 GB HD, 16x DVD-RW, and a 19-in one card reader. I can't wait to get my new toy!!!

Not too shabby. If you are a gamer then the graphics card could use an upgrade. But I think if you are a gamer then any non-diy PC needs a new graphics card.

not too much of a PC gamer, I like Diablo and Civ, but I won't be playing Crysis anytime soon on that system. :rotfl:

You'll be happy with the upgrade. The difference between what you had before vs. now will shock you!
