you forgot Disher at Catcher...unless Crisp gets some action later on. I am trying to remember who Tanner said would see DH action.

What happened to Crisp? Couldn't Lail play 2B, he is on the roster as a INF/OF and I think it would be easier to replace our LF than second since we have a lot more outfielders than infielders.

from another thread:
NOTEBOOK:
-- Freshman Scott Wingo remains the favorite to fill in for the injured Andrew Crisp at second base until Crisp is healthy. Wingo looked sharp in the field Sunday, surprising no one as his glove was deadly in fall practice.
-- Freshman Justin Hopper, a local product from Lexington High School, looks to have won the starting left field job from Jose Rodriquez and others. Hopper is nursing a sore hamstring, but is still hitting.
-- RHP Jay Brown, who underwent Tommy John surgery in the fall, will redshirt for 2008 with two years of eligibility remaining.
-- Outfielder Jonathan Ratledge has transferred to East Carolina.
-- Third baseman Chris Love has transferred out of the program, as has pitcher Evan Goldberg.
-- Incoming freshman Steven Neff, a LHP/OF from Lancaster, will redshirt while rehabilitating his throwing shoulder.
-- Junior OF Graham Couch, a transfer from The Citadel, will also red-shirt.
-- Brandon Miller, a freshman LHP from Greenwood, SC will redshirt during the 2008 season.
-- A source close to the program said Jordan Costner felt a twinge in his surgically repaired shoulder a few days ago – not a good sign for a young man returning from surgery after missing most of 2007.

I hope it's nothing serious with Jordan Costner.

Reese Havens said Wingo looked really good in the scrimmages; said he is working hard to fill our defensive needs there.
He would know, because he watched another player work extremely hard to earn the 1st string 2B position last year... Travis Jones. Wingo will fill in nicely until Crisp is ready to go. The young man really wants to contribute.
Also heard that the position of catcher will rotate more this year between Disher and Enders. With some of our pitchers (Todd and Dyson) having some good movement on their fastballs, you've got to have a guy back there (like Enders) who can dig them out of the dirt.
Go Gamecocks!!!
