We must stop the unfair treatment of the New England Patriots

"All that is required for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing."
- Edmund Burke

And so I ask you, good men of the world, to not stand idly by while evil prevails. A great injustice has been foisted upon the public, and if good men do not act, evil men will succeed with evil deeds, and we will all suffer.

So please, take action now, and sign this petition demanding that the NFL investigate the final 100 seconds of Super Bowl XLII (http://www.petitiononline.com/XLIItrut/petition.html) (via Kissing Suzy Kolber (http://kissmesuzy.blogspot.com/)), where the noble and good New England Patriots (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/nwe/) were screwed over by the vile NFL.

This actually exists. I'm not making this up. I couldn't make this up, because I have a tiny shred of a belief that humanity is not so far gone that any group of people out there could believe that the Patriots actually deserved to win Super Bowl XLII.

The people who have created and signed the petition appear to be serious. Fans of the New England Patriots, who have won 3 of the last 7 Super Bowls, who won 18 straight games, and who were the beneficiaries of the "tuck rule" play (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2001-2002_AFC_Divisional_Playoff_game), actually believe that they were conspired against. If you are one of the people who created or signed this petition, please, I beg of you, immediately seek out a mental health professional. This might help (http://www.psychwww.com/resource/selfhelp.htm).

As of right now, there are 1,454 signatures (http://www.petitiononline.com/mod_perl/signed.cgi?XLIItrut), which means that there are at least 1,454 Patriots fans in the world who are borderline delusional, and have major problems grasping reality. Or at least, 1,454, minus the number of people who saw this on KSK (http://kissmesuzy.blogspot.com/2008/02/patriots-fans-feel-robbed-want-black.html), and then began to sign the petition in a less-than-serious and often more-than-profane manner.

• Patriots Fans Feel Robbed, Want Black Man To Blame / Kissing Suzy Kolber (http://kissmesuzy.blogspot.com/2008/02/patriots-fans-feel-robbed-want-black.html) (and, as with any KSK link, it comes with a strong warning for profanity and hilarity)
• A request for the NFL to investigate the final 1:40 of Super Bowl XLII / Petition Online (http://www.petitiononline.com/XLIItrut/petition.html)

When I saw this I had to sign it. I decided to sign it using the alias "I'm a sore loser". But seriously wtf? Why would they complain about that? They have had their share of controversial things go there way.

The Patriots coach could have beaten Spiller to the locker room as fast as he ran off the field. He's a sore loser as are their fans apparently.

That argument has no validity. They're assuming if the clock had run the way they suggest that the Giants would have run the same exact plays with the same results which is stupid. If there was less time on the clock the giants would have went more down field.

my 2 favorite posts:

12181.Mrs. Gump: Don’t ever let anybody tell you they’re better than you, Forrest. If god intended everybody to be the same, he’d have given us all cameras and videotape.

12180.Forrest Gump: You know it's funny what a young man recollects? 'Cause I don't remember bein' born. I don't recall what I got for my first Christmas and I don't know when I went on my first outdoor picnic. But I do remember the first time the Patriots got caught cheating.
