Great Win for the Tarheels! Booker was the key loss late in the game and someone is correct, he does do all the "dirty" work. I know there are many UNC haters at CockyTalk, but you cannot argue with the tenacity of Tyler H. The dude is a monster. Who cares about what he may or may not do in the NBA. The fact is everyone who plays against him hates the chore of trying to guard him. You rarely see him complain to the official or make any "scene" about missed calls. If you watch him, he does get a lot of calls, but he also gets beat on a bunch and many calls are missed.

Can you imagine if USC lost two point guards this season? Losing Lawson and Bobby Fraz. is huge. For UNC to play Duke that close and then to beat Clemson after being down by 14 in the 2nd half is amazing. Duke may win the regular season title, but I still think UNC is the favorite in the ACC tourney (the right to the #1 seed).

Remember: All you Psycho T haters. If UNC doesn't win the NCAA this year (and I would say they may have about a 15%-20% chance) He has vowed to come back for his senior year. This UNC team may only lose Quentin Thomas, and they are bringing in a good point guard and two stout PF. Plus, Roy has already signed some blue chippers for the the following class. The UNC cupboard is looking good. We do not rebuild, we reload!

Hansbrough gets fouled almost every time he touches the ball. Clemson should be happy they only had a few chances at the line - since they are absolutely terrible at free throws.

Bottom Line - Clemson let a big lead slip away do to poor ballhandling late in the game - and they had their 1st and 2nd string PG.

Well, you have to remember that the defensive style of play is going to somewhat be effected by the offensive style they are playing. And if you watch UNC basketball, you know they aren't running their usual offense right now with Thomas in...the past 4 games they have been without Lawson and Frasor, and Thomas is really the 4th string guy. They have had to slow down a lot on offense...not able to rush down the court and make a few moves and score a basket.

Their rhythm has taken a hit but I think they have adjusted pretty well with the circumstances. I honestly think if Lawson was playing, they beat Duke or at least play them closer and Clemson & Virginia don't stand a chance with the high scoring power they would have.

Also, teams have been raining 3's and while the defense could move around more and add a little pressure around the perimeter...Lawson not taking 3 shots hurts some as well. Hell, not having your PG in basketball is like being without your QB in football. Once he gets healthy, I feel like you will see the UNC team from early in the season when no one could stay on the court with them. Until then, they just have to keep fighting on until Lawson gets healthy...and they are doing okay so far.
