i'm kind of surprised there wasn't anything on this in here. i know it's women's basketball, and not many on here care about it, but rutgers totally got screwed in this one. the clock stopped at 0.2 seconds without play being stopped. between 0.2 seconds on the clock and 0.00, 1.3 seconds (real time) passed with no stoppage in play. the foul was called after the game should have been over.

here's a youtube video of it. the part i'm talking about happens at just after the 30 second mark. so dont worry about the other 7 mins if you dont want to.

I think the rutgers coach said it correctly it was a terrible call and something should be done by the NCAA to reprimand the refs from this game. I love how she said if it was a game that matters she would have lost her job out there.

Clemson got screwed at Duke last year and nothing happened. Unless ol' Sharpton tries the "race card" again, nothing should happen here

Saw it as well last night....them "nappy headed ho's" totally got screwed!

The officials should've corrected it when it happened...it's always something in just about every game nowadays.

...same with the Georgetown/Nova game. That should have been decided in OT.

at least there was a foul in the NOVA game...there wasnt an extra 3 seconds in the Rutgers game...home court advantage...i bet if it was the other way the clock would have expired

I kind of think Villanova got screwed more than rutgers. Obviously, Rutgers got screwed and especially after review, it should have been reversed, but I think if the Rutgers player did not horse collar the girl from UT - it would not have been an issue.
The refs were looking for the red lights and trying to watch for fouls. It sucks for Rutgers.
On the other hand, G*Town caught a hell of a break. 70 feet from the basket and you call a small hip check with the score tied with less than 1 second left. That is the ref screwing Villanova out of a shot to win in OT.

Sucks for both - but I hate the G*Town call worse.

Both calls are BS but the Rutgers call is worse because it should have never been a call. You can't say that for the Nova/G-town game.

Thats typical cheating BS from someone on the UCheaT sidelines. Just another reason i hate those pricks

if the ncaa doesnt look into this they need to get their heads out of their ass and focus on the stuff that matters - those kids from rutgers got royally screwed.

Did USC ever get screwed by an opposing team's clock "malfuction"? I thought I heard a story about it from back in they day but I'm not sure

Go to UcheaT's forums and they actually have MORONS who try to justify it

How? Like...How? Clocks don't "stop" for no reason with .2 normally

What a joke

LOL, UcheaT, you people that say that crack me up. Believe it or not, Spur, technology is not infallible and there is a chance, however slight, that it was a technical error, but I'm willing to bet my life savings that somebody at the table got ideas of their own. However, its over, and if you really wanna start calling people out, Spur, then call out the refs...they could have easily went to the monitors and seen that time should have expired as they did when South Carolina played at Florida State two years ago in the N.I.T.. I do believe the situation was, Balkman got the inbound and the clock started like 3 seconds late and Carolina got a bucket, but the refs went to the monitor and had the common sense to see that time should have expired and, thus, the game went to overtime. But thats just how I feel about it...everybody is entitled to their opinion...try to remember that, Spur, when you call those people morons. You may not like their opinion, but you could at least respect it...just as I respect yours.

Nothing much can be done now. Other than a protest.

I also thought a foul could have been called on the in bound pass which would of put Rutgers back on the foul line. All around, the rut girls got hosed.

with all due respect, all that really matters is that the NCAA committee will probably take this into account and not hold this "loss" against Rutgers when seeding the teams...everyone knows it was called incorrectly but I really think that this will not no bearing on the NCAA seeding

all i have to say is ... the foul could have been called intentional ... and however it doesn't hardly ever happen ... if you want to say that the time ran out and then the foul was made ... if that was called intentional/flagrant/technical even after time had ran out ... she would have gotten to shoot 2 shots ... same out come

No, when a clock works 100% of the time in a game....it doesn't stop at .2 magically because of a so-called error. FYI, the people defending the clock stopping are morons. They are the type of people who refuse to accept reality and instead live in their own world of UcheaT this and that....funny yet sad.

I don't have a problem with cack's statement (though I would like to see the rules on when a tech/flag foul can be called to verify) but I see UcheaT fans claiming the clock SHOULD have stopped or the play was ACTUALLY .2 long. How stupid can you be?

No way you can justify this cheating action by Tennessee and hopefully the NCAA/SEC strip Tennessee of the game.
