When he son was playing rookie league ball here in the Appalachain league, he came to see his son's astros team play here in kingsport...I was at the game and he yelled at a little kid who dared to ask him for an autograph...

Rep. Bruce Braley (D-Iowa) just asked if Clemens had ever been a vegetarian, Clemens said "No sir"
He then asked if he had ever been a vegan
Clemson juust kind of stammers, and then says "I dont know what that is..."
LOL funny stuff
the reason for asking is apparently medical studies have showed B-12 shots are helpful to vegetarians and vegans due to their bodies stop producing it naturally.

Steroids and baseball, football, etc.....who cares? I know people who can't work without taking lortabs for pain, mostly back.....take away the medicine and they can't function in their jobs. A younger person would get the job. What in the hell is the difference in a pitcher taking some HGH to prolong his career and a firefighter popping some lortabs for his back? Not one damn bit.

Why the FDA and Bush decided to ban the alternative to steroids was beyond me. They indirectly are fueling the demand for steroids....sad thing is I can actually still order some from overseas...but get caught and it carries the same penalty as steroids....absurd.
Some countries actually require a prescription for aspirin and freely sell steroids OTC. I think they are smarter than we are. Aspirin causes more deaths every year than all steroids combined.
Also is it right for women to receive hormone replacement therapy and men to suffer? HELL NO! Our test levels are going down as soon as we hit 20 and yet we don't get any replacement.
Guess I better end my rant. LOL!

The "Nanny" is the smoking gun... Why did Clemons bring her to his house on Sunday prior to turning over her contact info to the committee? Clemons hasn't spoke with her in 9-10 years but brings her to his house to get the story straight????

Funny how the Lawyers were quick to standup and defend the decision... like there was something to hide and the charman put them in their place.

Actually, mixing pain medications doesn't kill you. Mixing pain meds with anti-anxiety or anti-depression pills = lose.
Like mixing any kind of opiate you've ever gotten to help your pain after breaking a hand or getting wisdom teeth pulled, and zanax. Opiate + Zanax = dead.
And the people that mix these drugs know what they're doing most of the time. Supposedly, if you don't die, you really feel good if you take both meds. From what I've seen, people just pretty much pass out and have a really crappy night's sleep when they do that. But I know someone who was in a coma for 2 days after mixing Methadone and Zanax (methadone's an opiate perscribed to treat heroin withdrawal, among other ailments), he's lucky to be alive.
Wow, that was off-topic. Sorry. =D

after watching the hearing conclude, i think we can all agree there both have lied in the past right?
My own opinion is that Clemens is the one that is lying now. Petite, a great friend, just wouldnt lie against him for no reason...and if Clemens was ever crossed by an actual attorney, "the holes" in his arguement would be unavoidable...
So is defending the perception of cy young awards more important than spending time in a federal prison (for lying)??
I understand that he worked his tail off to earn these lifetime achievements, so what do you guys think? (I say no way!)

Both are liars....Clemens is guilty and McNamee is lying about something....you have to be messed up and a liar to keep syringes that long.
How would Clemens have his wife injected and not have himself injected......come on.....I was born at night but not last night.
What gets me is how this is falling right down party lines....I am convinced now, more than ever, that Republicans and Democrats have biological differences. LOL! Seems as if Independents are the only ones willing to believe that both could be guilty of lying under oath. LOL!
I can't vote, because I don't believe either of them. McNamee is a liar, that is established. Clemens is obviously lying, they just can't peg him. Like someone said, you'd have to be an idiot to think his wife took them but he didn't.

McNamee looks like a sleaze job...........And that it seems more than likely that Roger Clemens, a personal hero of mine, was on the juice, much less on the juice and wearing my beloved Yankee pinstripes, that is what hurts really really really bad.
Who ever came up with the rationale years ago that grown men dont do stupid things hasnt watched a "Worst Police Chase" show on Fox. That Major League Baseball has let this go until recently, shows me they didnt really care about individual and team achievements, that they really didnt care about the game. They let a temptation dangle in front of these men, and these men took full advantage of it. Now is MLB responsible for putting the pills down the throats of Canseco, Bonds, McGuire, Palmeiro, Clemens, etc etc, no but they are responsible for an enviroment that was geared towards this type of cheating because these GROWN men didnt have rules to reign them in and thought they could get away with it and for a time they did.
Since all these revelations have come about, what has been tarnished due to idiocy by some Major League Ball Players and MLB itself?
The Race to 62 (McGwire and Sosa)
73 HR's (B. Bonds)
Clemens World Series' rings with the Yankee's
(Add more if you can think of them.)
That last one hurts the most...............I used to love to watch the game on FOX when ne'er a word was spoken about 'Roids and we all thought our heroes were clean. I miss those days.

Does it really matter anymore? The MLB players over the last decade or so have absolutely destroyed the game. As a huge fan, I was always comparing the stats of todays players against the greats of the past. The thugs of today have ruined that for me. I have just about as much interest in MLB as I do arena football. I haven't even watched the last two World Series. I used to get out of school to watch it when I was a kid. What a freaking shame. I blame those that run MLB more than anyone. They knew what was going on but didn't stop it.

What gets me is that Clemens was reading from pre-written notes on almost every clip I saw, saying things like "I wasn't injected" "I deny the charges" yadda yadda yadda. If you're innocent you don't NEED pre-written statements. If I was innocent and this charge had me on the national news and it was hurting my family as he claims, I'd be a lot more passionate about my replies than he was and I wouldn't need pre-written notes to deny the charges and defend myself.

All this has pretty much ruined baseball for me. Clemens' wife took it, so I am pretty sure he did too.
"While her husband continues to deny that he used performance-enhancing drugs during a career in which he won seven Cy Young Awards, more than Cy Young himself, Debbie Clemens has admitted that she used human growth hormone before a Sports Illustrated photo shoot, enabling her to appear more buxom than Yankees' second baseman Chuck Knoblauch. "It was wrong, and I apologize," she said, "especially to all those little girls out there who are just strapping on their first training bras."
The above quote by her is a joke I think, but she is accused of taking it.
