ANOTHER BAMA PLAYER BUSTED

Alabama safety Rashad Johnson was arrested Saturday and charged with disorderly conduct, becoming the eighth Alabama player charged with a crime since last summer.

The Johnson arrest, which took place at 2:55 a.m. Saturday after he scuffled with Tuscaloosa police and security at a local bar, is particularly embarrassing for the Crimson Tide because he's an All-SEC player, a captain and a team leader.
Coach Nick Saban, through a team spokesman, declined to comment.

The bar where Johnson was arrested, The Legacy, is the same place where three other Alabama players were arrested last year, the Huntsville Times reports. In that incident, Roy Upchurch and Brandon Fanney ended up pleading guilty to disorderly conduct, while Brandon Deaderick was granted youthful offender status, meaning his record is sealed from the public.

According to police, Johnson pushed a security officer who was escorting someone from The Legacy to the ground early Saturday morning. Police then arrested Johnson after a brief struggle that caused one officer to suffer a minor abrasion to his knee that did not require medical attention, the report said.

Yeah, that's the spirit. Let's just compare ourselves to the worst offenders and hold our standards equal to the lowest common denominator. Please give me a break if you think the fact that Bama has a joke of a team gives us a good reason to act the same way.

Incidents such as these are unfortunate "signs of the times". Once upon a time, students valued their scholarships and their schools and would never do anything to cause trouble to either.

In today's world, these incidents are happening all too often, and coaches need to start revoking scholarships to make examples of people who'd rather fight, smoke dope, etc. than represent their schools.

Sad, but true indictement of society......

He's not comparing us to be as low as other teams but just simply stating that we are not the only ones who have people being suspended for stupid shit reasons. there's alot of people who feel like the gamecocks are the only one's with problems

they always build it up to sound SOOOOO bad ... the struggle was probably ... this guys friend was getting slammed right beside him ... he was hit and was grabbing the guy that blew him up ... then he got slammed to the ground and the cop busted his knee while doing so ... i've been in bars while numerous fights have broken out with the bouncers and reg people ... only once have i ever seen two where a bouncer actually got taken down or hit ... most of the time the big "struggle/scuffle" it to get them to stop moving so they can be picked up

College kids will always get into trouble. It is a nationwide/worldwide deal.
When someone who has had little or no freedom gets almost complete freedom people are gonna srew up. Its not always a "huge" screw up but its gonna happen.
