View Full Version : Songs used to torture prisoners

I heard this on the radio this morning and thought this might be a good thread for us. Apparently U.S. soldiers play annoying songs repetitively to try and break terrorist prisoners. A radio station up in Charlotte was talking about it. Said they use songs like "America" by Neil Diamond and other songs. Without getting into politics I thought it'd be a good waste of time to see what everyone comes up with for annoying songs (Or songs that get annoying after hearing them repetitively) that could be used.
Here's a couple ideas:
"Red Red Wine"
"Cheese Burger in Paradise"

Rupert Holmes - Escape (The Pina Colada song)
I think any Christmas song played repeatedly would do me in.

LOL. Na, I just remember the nursery I went to when I was a kid. They left that thing on all damn day and there was no escape. I blame that song for my current mental instability.

I know this guy from Auburn that told me when he was going through their hell week for his fraternity as a pledge, the whole pledge class had to be at their house when they were not in class or eating, and the whole week they had that song "My Milkshake Brings All the Boys to the Yard" on repeat. 7 straight days of that song.

I can't believe it took that long for Rick Astley to get mentioned.
I heard that old clay aiken song at work today, "invisible" or something of the sort. I suppose a whole lot of pop music would work, and especially some of those awful male singers out there today.

When I went to SERE (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SERE) school they played this song constantly on the loudspeaker amongst other terrible ones. I will never forget getting the living shit beat out of me and hearing this song on the loundspeaker in the background constantly. They would also play very high pitched sounds that were almost unbareable for hours on end.
