In trouble again...non discript suspension for unspecified reason...Vincent prior to this latest incedent has been arrested for domestic violence charges and DUI...the domestic has since been dropped and the DUI has not gone to court yet...Vincent is a senior and played in all games last year....

The difference is:

Clemson is an atheletic college.

South Carolina is an academic university.

Thats why they are more difficult to get into academically than we are? Seriously what is your reasoning for saying this?

Heard them talking about this on 107.5 earlier today. They were indicating he might be suspended for spring practice.

Nah, I say TB will sit him for at least one of their D1-AA games, if not both. Unless of course, they are somehow trailing in the second half. In that case, the suspension would be dropped to a first half suspension only.

CLEMSON -- Allendale-Fairfax linebacker Courtney Vincent (6-1, 220) gave a verbal committment to the Clemson Tigers on Monday, accepting an offer that he got several weeks ago while at camp. Vincent, rated by SCVarsity as a Top Twenty Prospect in the Class of 2004, looked extremely well in the workouts. He has excellent speed (sub 4.6) and is very athletic. His agility is a tribute to his overall athleticism. "They've been after him pretty hard," said Coach Carlos Cave of Clemson's recruiting of Vincent. "They showed a little more interest than the others, and I'm sure that was something he thought about when he made his decision. I know he's one of the top players I've coached and certainly among the best in the state. "He tweeked his ankle a little at the Carolina camp this past weekend, but even before that, he felt that he wasn't really high on their linebacker list. He felt there were two in-state guys they liked better and that, along with their depth at the position had a lot to do with his decision." Vincent made his decision known to Coach David Blackwell, Clemson's recruiting coordinator, on Monday morning. He was recruited by Clemson assistant Ron West. Vincent was also being recruited by South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, and SC State. South Carolina had Vincent for a one day camp and Tennessee wanted to get him there for a look as well. CLEMSON — Clemson linebacker Cortney Vincent appears to be in trouble again.
According to multiple sources familiar with the situation, Vincent is facing a possible suspension for the entire spring practice because of a violation of team policy.
Vincent, who will be a senior in the 2008 season, still has charges pending for a December DUI arrest.
He has requested a jury trial that probably won't take place until the summer, according to the Pickens County magistrate's office.
Clemson begins spring practice Saturday. Athletic department spokesman Tim Bourret said all announcements regarding personnel will take place then.

Yeah, I'm not gonna touch another team's offseason problems! At least not right now, but I will once we are winning some games! :)

He will probably be permanently suspended from the team by Tom Bowdund like McPuffy was. The same McPuffy that came back the next year to start. The one that was selling drugs in a school zone I believe?
